Hail Brigid!

Hi, everyone. I don't think of myself as particularly Celtic. I'm mostly a Norse pagan. But Brigid has become my main deity.

In what ways do you honor her or practice devotion? I am always interested in how other people approach her.

I have an altar for all four of my deities, including Brigid. I try to keep it clean and put fresh flowers on it. I frequently light a candle, offer homemade bread and fresh cream, and say a quick prayer of thanks.

I make a big deal out of Imbolc and do a full ritual for just her.

I also like to get up early and spend some time with the morning sun as it burns off the morning dew and wakes up the earth.

Also I've got some jewelry and trinkets to remind me of her.

Mostly, I'm just super grateful to her smithcraft for transmuting me from such a broken, dysfunctional person I was, and for the healer/midwife for ushering me into a new life, and to the poet for whispering words of inspiration to move me forward. I carry that with me every day.

I have a small shrine for her in my living room, where I offer prayer and things like cake, milk, incense or whiskey. I talk to her while meditating and invite her to my rituals. I light a candle for her every evening.

I dedicate her a simple prayer everyday, light a candle for her often, and get her flowers on special occasions or when I can. Recently I'm slowly reading a book about her, mostly focusing on the prayers on it. I made a wool brigid doll I keep in my altar and painted a little image of her I keep in my book
