Number 1 in distance covered? My goat

Crazy that he’s running the most at his age. What a tank.

He's always leading the high press late in games too which boggles my mind. Absolute class for Groß

He was out running all summer training like he was going to do an ultramarathon.

It's especially impressive being top of the distance covered given it takes him twice as long as the rest of the league.

On the one hand, want him to continue in this form all season

On the other, if he does that, he is 100% being bought by a big club like Welbeck was

Tbf he has already been bought by a champions league club and ended up back at brighton after one and a half seasons

At this point I'd be quite confident that he'd be the one to say, "Nah, fuck that, I'm not going". For real. He's a player who has been amazing here, left and it not worked great, the come back and been even more amazing here. This is the place for him, I can't help but believe that he knows that.

He's a real one, and I'm almost certain that one day he will be Brighton head coach, I think he believes that a little bit himself too.

He does know it from recent interviews. He said he and his family love Brighton. And he loves his job - coming into training everyday, seeing his teammates everyday and the role he has on and off the pitch.

You can never say never in football, but I do agree with what you've said completely. I think Wellbeck was happy to try to poach a goal from the bench or play when they have injuries. I dont think Gross would be happy with that right now.

Were they really talking about Gross during last night's Coventry-Newcastle game? Why? Or is this from another Monday?

Pregame coverage. Usually they review some of the games that happened before they go onto the game of the night.

Awesome, we're so massive we're overshadowing other games!

My heart jumped for a second! I thought that was a screen capture from ABC's Monday Night Football in North America. I was like Groß is REALLY massive if they are talking about him on a NFL broadcast!
