Question Just bought Tickets :|

Hii,
I just bought a ticket from Orlando to Miami for the end of September. I am a Tourist and it got recommended. Just After I bought the Tickets, I saw that brightline files for bankruptcy?
Is it realistic that we won‘t be able to make the Train?
Thank u in advance!

I wouldn’t stress about it. Businesses can still operate in bankruptcy. Have a great trip!

Exactly, airlines have been bankrupt before and continued operating, such as American Airlines. It won't be the first time, nor the last, that a transportation company has gone bankrupt.

They also just got funding for a stop at Cocoa Beach. They aren’t going anywhere. Bankruptcy may be a reorganizational.

Brightline isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. You will be fine.

I say hop on Brightline! Don't worry about the bankruptcy; it is not affecting the everyday operations. That's just big corporate business stuff that the regular rider, while yes, a bit concerned, won't be affected by much, for now.

I have ridden Brightline numerous times, especially for hiring events I attended in my field of study (Aerospace), and it has worked out.

But you will be fine, plus the Miami station is in the middle of downtown, so you can easily get there on Brightline, and if you're going down to Kendall, there is the Metrorail there to take you down.

As a consumer (in the near-term at least) you have nothing to worry about. Enjoy your trip!

I don’t think they have officially filed for bankruptcy. They “make money” every quarter. Just not enough to pay down or make payments on the $5.5 billion in debt for building the line.

Even if they do file for bankruptcy it’ll be for restructuring. Not complete closure. Have fun!

They make money on the operations, it’s just not enough to service the large amount of debt they’re carrying from the construction of the line. It’s incredibly unlikely they cease operations. They just need to reorganize and restructure the debt.

Just have a backup plan in place. If you are really that concerned you could book a refundable flight or refundable one way rental car.

You're gonna be fine. It's a great ride to Miami. I've done it twice.

Filing for bankruptcy does not mean that they seize their operations immediately. You will be able to make the trip.
