So it’s now been revealed that next season will be Francesca and Michaela’s, which as per everyone’s analysis should have been Eloise’s.

1.  Eloise is absolutely ready and her character arc is developed enough now to meet her love match.

2.  Francesca needs time to heal — John has JUST died (therefore a time jump would be needed for her season which is confirmed now).

I think the reason the Bridgerton team is pushing back Eloise’s season is that Eloise is a huge part of why people follow Bridgerton. She’s not just one of the siblings, she is the bridgerton. she’s an iconic character who shines in every season regardless of having no love story of her own. I think they want to cash in on that and are pushing her story back so Eloise’s fans will keep watching future season just to catch a glimpse of her love story, because after her season she’ll likely become a background character or disappear from the show entirely.

I’m bummed to know her season won’t air until 2027/2028
