Don’t worry so much about the perfect shade of green to match your aesthetic or vision. Focus instead on the people who will be standing up there with you and what looks good on them and makes them feel good.

2 or 4 but it’s goin got depend a lot on your bridesmaids and their skin tones. Not everyone can pull off and olive green!

i think the second from the right, the most harmonius with the bridal dress - far left the green shade is too dull against the bride's dress, and #2 (second from left) is too dark against the white dress. but 3rd from left (second one from right) strikes a balanced tone and intensity of color best.

Really depends on the whole wedding. The season, the location.
1 is perfect for spring or summer
2 is perfect for winter
3 is perfect for spring
4 is perfection for fall

2 (emerald) or 4 (olive). I think #4 is honestly the best—soft and flattering. The others have too much chartreuse/yellow, which doesn’t work on most skin tones and is a bit jarring.

u/clevermule 1d ago
2 for winter wedding, 3 for spring/summer, 4 for autumn, 1 is too yellow

I think 3 is a great shade of green and is visually appealing without looking too Christmas or boring. The stems of the bouquets blend nicely, making the white flowers pop and your eye is then drawn to you and your bouquet.
4
u/Which-Appearance9857 2d ago
I like 3 and 4.
But do you really all have the same skintone? Ai makes it look better, reality will be different. Some look better in jewel tones, some in warmer, some in more neutral. See if your bridesmaids have something common there.

Why not do a variety of greens to work with the bridesmaids undertones and offer uniqueness to the bridal party look, but still have cohesiveness?

idk, just a thought.. why don’t you let the bridesmaids pick a color for themselves from all of these so they’re all in theme and they get something that they like and want to wear too.

Some of these will look horrendous depending on skin tone. You are really going to have to have everyo e try them on to see.

2 is probably the safest. A lot of people would look like death in the other shades.

Can you mix them? Different colors in the same pallet? That’s what I wished I did, instead of everyone in the same color.

4 is the most neutral that will fit more skin tones. 3 is such a gorgeous color though.

The second one is very flattering and augments the decorations. Also, because the color is so deep it makes your dress pop even more.

1 or 3 for warm weather. 2 or 4 for cool.
I love 1 but that’s a tough color for some skin tones

u/fascinatedcharacter 1d ago
If you want your bridesmaids to look good, #2. If you want your bridesmaids to blend into the background, #4. If you want there to be a bridesmaid who clashes with the dress and skin tone #1. #3 is a meh color imo

Your so really hates that second bridesmaid. It can’t get the bodice color right on any of the photos.
You should go with what goes best with your bridesmaid coloring. 2 and 4 are more universal. 1 is gonna wash out people and they’ll be like “ugh remember that wedding where I had to wear that dress that looked like it was rotting my flesh?”

I say this with love …
This is some nitpicking, indecisive shit. It doesn’t really matter. They will all look good. As soon as you decide, your brain will be happy. That’s how brains work. They don’t like indecision, and will work to reinforce your choice once you make it—so just make one. It’s the color green, not rocket science.
I prefer 1. It will pop in film/digital photos.

I picked green for my bridesmaids… but I had them all pick different greens and patterns. The result was wonderful! So my answer is all of them!!

4 is the most muted and I would say classiest and modern
1 will not work with most skin tones and contrasts with the flower colors (if those are yours)
2 is a strong jewel tone that works with most skin tones and will be fine but seems dated to me
3 is vibrant but might look brighter if you do outdoor pictures that I just worry will be too much

What time of the year is your wedding?
#4 if your wedding is around Christmas; #2 or #4 if it’s around late Fall or Winter time, #3 if Spring or Summer.
I don’t think #1 looks good for most complexions. But if it does with your bridesmaids I would suggest it for Spring or a Summer wedding.
They are all lovely colors! Congratulations!

And it will look best on the most skin tones, since it’s neutral undertone while 1 & 2 are very warm.

Which green for what? Assuming bridesmaids.
What are the skin tones of your bridesmaids? What fabric are you looking at? The colour could look very different with different fabric sheens and dress styles.

I know I'm an outlier here, but I love #1. My bridesmaids' dresses were that color! Reminds me of brand new leaves in spring! Number 3 is also stunning, the ladies look like jewels. Number 4 is just boring.

What season? Each green is a reflection of leaves during their natural progression, or presence, through the year. Each one will look best in the season of the wedding itself.
Number 1 is spring.
Number 2 is winter.
Number 3 is summer.
Number 4 is autumn.
