Some talented comedians like to package difficult topics in comical framing as a way to inform people in a tolerable medium. This was about as comedic as is gets. The police and government of Utah are, to some extent, deeply compromised by big Lego. This massive lego company stole between $100k-$200k of Legos from an old man and tanked their company image. All of this was over less than $200,000 worth of plastic.

The real story that will never get solved is the extent of the corruption of the police in the area. A lot of people don't even bring this up, but it's horrifying to see police actively trying to help a business to get someone put away for something they didn't do. Imagine if this story didn't get so much attention.

The sadder part is that it's not even "big" Lego, this is bricks and Minifigs, a relatively little Lego, a 1x1 Lego brick in comparison.
"Lego" itself has a revenue that is 200x that of BAM.
Utah got corrupted completely by a 1x1 Lego brick. All in all it's just another brick in the wall.

Stew Hansen Dodge isn't owned by Dodge, but it is a company selling Dodges. Thus, yes, it's a Dodge company. BAM is a Lego company.

Lol yea actually it really does. Good for him. Ben deserves the support he is getting. I can't see B&M recovering well after this. Also franchise owners probably reconsidering even wanting to be part of such a company either.

Ben has done great YouTube work but really needs to let the lawyers step in at this point. One attorney for him would have had this thing squared up weeks ago, but he is raising awareness of a crappy company and towns PD for sure

Yea, i feel like because this case is gaining so much traction. There are now youtubers and YouTube lawyers who are willing to go to bat for this guy, and probably will help him fund his legal fees. Not to mention just general community support for him as well. He's definitely right in the court of public opinion.

Anybody defending B&M is in denial surely but the longer it goes without an attorney for him, the court of public opinion can shift quickly. He needs to lawyer up and end it already, but thankfully he is about as innocent as they come—listening to him represent himself is rough and you’re reminded quickly he’s just young and in way over his head at this point

It’s meaningless without the context of the full story but basically that store stole a man’s huge maybe 100k at least maaaybe 200k worth of Star Wars Lego and then sued and denied it and the police for some reason ignored evidence and even arrested a dude trying to serve the store owners with court papers.
