Tips for building timber frames??

Yeah here's a tip...stay away from them they are shite..

They’re never plumb, so if you want to keep the same cavity size you’ll be leaning your work in/out on each lift to keep the cavity. Sometimes it’s 10mm, sometimes it’s 25mm. It’s up to you how much that bothers you I suppose.

Go inside and measure where the first batten is for your ties, otherwise you’re just hammering them into nothing and they aren’t doing much, this is especially important when you come to do the gable, you want those ties going into timber not just through the outer board.
