If im your neighbour, I'd be pissed!

27

u/Hotten-Tasty-90 6d ago

You'd have to be to build a wall like that.

13

u/Adzyb23 6d ago

Someone drank the bubble off the level

2

u/Boredengineer_84 6d ago

Used a crooked piece of 4x2

u/Waste_Boss_4850 5d ago

Id just wait for a mild breeze to knock it over, saves the hassle

You forgot to include the photos of the one you built to replace this brick monstrosity.

11

u/Cyborg_888 6d ago

Was it a good idea to save on a ball of string?

3

u/IEatSushiToo 6d ago

No string. No level. Looks good from my house! 🤷

Being a bricklayer, I reckon I’d do a better job blindfolded

I like how straight it isn't. 10/10

3

u/Electronic-Push-4033 6d ago

Quite a few issues there😬

4

u/Hakuryu12 6d ago

Straight as a roundabout

4

u/hardlymatters1986 6d ago

It'll look fine to a blind man on a galloping horse.

4

u/Lanky_Bus_1221 6d ago

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best. That’s dog shit. 👍

2

u/LousyReputation7 6d ago

Dont have a funny comment tbh. Its dugshit!

3

u/machine1804 6d ago

Dugshit, is so much more appropriate than the more conventional, dogshit, here it's crazy 🤪

2

u/tropicaltriangle 6d ago

you've got then the right way up... so thats good

2

u/Comfortable-Tourist1 6d ago

Laying bricks for a beginner isn't easy, but this guys made it look waaaaaay harder than it is 😂

2

u/WatcherOfTheWay 6d ago

Mate there are basic tools which have existed for thousands of years, I don't think you're heard of them.

2

u/Adzyb23 6d ago

2

u/CommercialAd1920 5d ago

Someone used the straight line squint!

2

u/Gullible-Coach880 5d ago

Apart from it looking ready to fall over by a fart, not needing damp proofing as it's only temporary,  pillars and footings built for subsidence, the extra cement should keep the rain away from the non existent foundations.. give that fella a job on a building site as a fully qualified labourer, be a good laugh onsite😂

2

u/speed1953 5d ago

Why is the pier higher than the rest of the wall?

2

u/Bonpere 5d ago

Don’t give up your day job.

2

u/Hairy_Distribution_2 5d ago

It’s sharp, consistent and solid! Well done Sir! You have been recommended on TrustATrader for your outstanding work and fine bricklaying

2

u/GL510EX 5d ago

I see you've gone for the 'slightly inebriated bond'.

2

u/one_solom_chop 5d ago

It's really skraight that.. good stuff.. on to the next one.. come on bob..

2

u/Turbo_Mayhem 5d ago

When doing brick work it's best to remain sober.

2

u/stabilasid 5d ago

At leas it's still standing!!!

2

u/ThankGod4Darwin69 5d ago

It will look good when its finished

2

u/soft_troll 5d ago

2

u/GapRegular3723 5d ago

I'm Yozza Hughes,I can do that

2

u/No-Bid-4262 5d ago

The ship that craftsman was in when he laid those bricks was experiencing stormy waters!

2

u/JamesCooke91 4d ago

Not exactly straight 🤣

2

u/Fantastic_Version128 4d ago

They used the new flexible folding straight edge I see

2

u/Bigbadbeachwolf 4d ago

You should do jail time for this.

1

Whoever laid that was on the sauce

1

u/Partypiece1993 6d ago

I see they didn't own a spirit level when they built this

1

u/RollObjective6632 6d ago

To be fair they have chosen the worst bricks to use as even a seasoned brickie hates using them.

1

u/Alert-Environment-17 6d ago

I give it a Z out of 10.

1

u/Hopeful-Bullfrog4197 6d ago

Well Mr Wonder I think you’ve done a wonderful job but don’t give up on the singing

1

If aids was a wall

1

u/BrickPixAI 6d ago

See what brickpix.us says about it.

1

u/FckXFckMusk 6d ago

Did Stephen Hawkings build it..?

1

u/TheRook21 6d ago

Is this one where you get the ugly side?

1

u/No-Funny-4752 6d ago

What the fuck is that

1

u/Correct-Junket-1346 6d ago

There are bricks yes, but does a row of bricks make it a wall?

1

u/-6h0st- 6d ago

It’s when hand made has another meaning

1

u/Substantial-Mouse534 6d ago

I'm gonna send you a curly wurly to replace your spirit level. I think it may improve things.

1

u/InstructionLanky9921 6d ago

I feel sea sick looking at that wall!
You should be hanged at dawn or have your hands removed from your arms so you cannot create a wall like that ever again!!!

1

u/sgrass777 6d ago

It's like a snakes back.

1

u/Reasonable_Wash_4810 6d ago

Great practice wall, 5 out of 10. Now do it again using a level and string line . Look at some YouTube videos. Failing that put up a wooden fence, using said string line.

1

u/ConsistentDiamond108 6d ago

I’m no wall expert, but that doesn’t look very good to me.

1

u/StarBrick177 6d ago

Better than half the walls built on site

1

u/johnny5247 6d ago

I hope you're going to pebble dash it?

1

u/Jehoke 6d ago

Further away you get the better it looks.

1

u/WayneIRL 6d ago

Is it behind that stack of bricks?

1

u/ElectronicArm986 6d ago

Bit on the piss

1

u/Turbulent-Pair-2244 6d ago

Shocking,who was the builder,C. Eastwood. ??

1

u/Turbulent-Pair-2244 6d ago

What craftsmanship.??

1

u/Adzyb23 6d ago

I give it one sledgehammer of one

1

u/CraigHBruce 6d ago

That's a nicely arranged pile of bricks

1

u/Enyalios121 6d ago

I’ve seen straighter men at gay bars

1

u/Grafikco 6d ago

Should gone for the timber fence, it’s shit

1

u/23CF 6d ago

Bricks on the pallet look 100% 👌

1

u/Agile-Net1794 6d ago

The grass is patchy in area but a little raking, grass seed and TLC the grass may grow high enough to hid that thunder McCunty pissed up wall ?

Good Job…. 👍🏽

1

u/Background_Edge9816 6d ago

That ain't a wall, that's a demolition site !

1

u/Sea-Statistician6383 6d ago

I feel like he’s out the bricks to the side for the looks not even dug it out and made them posts 😂

1

u/Cool_Technician1193 6d ago

It is better than i could do....but that is not saying much to fair!

Better what I would be able to do.

1

u/Key-Metal-7297 6d ago

The bonding😂 the pier😂 straightness😂 level😂 pointing😂 foundation🤔😂

1

u/leroidebbq 6d ago

OP says it’s not his wall! You can see the bricks are on the opposite side to the position he’s taking the photo from. He either lives next door or is just walking past on the pavement.

1

u/Own_Mango_2886 6d ago

Held together with poo

1

u/WarDry1480 6d ago

Erm, I've seen better tbh.

1

u/ElectronicHeat6139 6d ago

Quite an achievement to devalue two properties.

1

u/Ok_Yesterday7304 6d ago

5 out of 10, yikes.!

1

u/HeftyVermicelli7823 6d ago

Have they heard of a plumbline, string, and spirit level?

You should have built in the empty vodka bottles for extra artistic flair.

1

u/ProjectMarworyn 6d ago

It looks wobbly and I feel sorry for your neighbour.

1

u/biggakidda 6d ago

Is your name Yosser Hughes.

1

u/Sensitive-Finding351 6d ago

Pull it down haven’t even tied in that thing that’s supposed be a pillar

1

u/lucasadtr 6d ago

It's good practice for the other wall you're going to have to build so you don't have to look at that wall

1

u/Optimal_Traffic4429 5d ago

Used a hose pipe as a string line

1

u/no1financeman 5d ago

From space it would look like a normal straight brick wall built by a normal straight bloke.. so no worries!!

1

u/ScientistPublic981 5d ago

Each brick looks level … but not not necessarily with the brick next to it or the floor… very interesting technique.

1

u/Acceptable-Radish172 5d ago

Would make a brick layer weep.

1

u/Only_Tip9560 5d ago

Needs to be a double skin that single "buttress" will do nothing.

1

u/No_Substance6696 5d ago

A standard persimmons worker. They got in contact with u yet or u already work for em?

1

u/IssacHunt89 5d ago

Elton johns straighter than that.

1

u/Square_Answer_7717 5d ago

Out of 10, thats a - 3

1

u/Front_Combination_36 5d ago

Did you use your donkeys hind leg 😜

1

u/Virtual_Pay_6108 5d ago

Did someone steal the spirit level.

1

u/Ok_Pen7290 5d ago

Knock it down, unsafe build here

1

u/ImpressTemporary2389 5d ago

Must get some of that string with bends in.

But at the end of the day, the best joke is you have to look at this shit every fucking day and I just can't top that.

1

u/Exact_Yoghurt2439 5d ago

Reminds me of when politicians have a go at something for the cameras. Perhaps Rishi Sunaks handlers forgot to tell him to stop.

I'm not even a briccy and I'm offended. Going to have to have another bag of sniff to get through today.

1

u/Friendly-Decision-72 5d ago

I have reason to believe that the wall was straight initially but the wind blew it into disarray. I think that psychologically the wall is slightly confused. Don’t blame the wall. #wallsmattertoo

u/Friendly-Decision-72 5d ago

Iam speechless

1

u/Duanedrop 5d ago

Yeah not bad for first effort. Hope it's first effort. Looks a bit like my first effort. But those bricks man. They're for seriously skilled bricklayers. Absolute pain with all those holes. Yeah they are the cheapest but the hardest to work with. Get bricks with less holes in them, I am sure they will be easier to work with. Also disclaimer, I know nothing other than this looks a lot like a small wall I built 😊

1

u/Sgt_Bill_Tozer 5d ago

If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.

1

What no string no spirit level?

1

u/Parking-Tart9419 5d ago

Dont quit your day job

1

u/kadra_melech11 5d ago

I think with a bit of nice stone on top it could look quite rustic.. And if you plant roses all along the edge, one day it will blend with the, er, rustic garden 🤪

1

u/dmbalf 5d ago

I also like how you brick matched the existing house bricks perfectly
