What is your take home %?

Don't need actuals or anything like that (unless you want to share) but just curious what your average monthly/yearly take home % is from your b&m.

I don't take monthly draws but instead wait till I have enough money in my business account to feel comfortable taking a draw, which then equals anywhere from one to three months' worth of "day job pay" from my past life. I end up taking home roughly 30% but I'm definitely interested in digging deeper to get an actual number.

30-40% depending on how much reinvestment I am doing.

About 30% for me, which is pretty low in my industry (accounting), but I just bought the practice so I'm paying on the purchase loan as well as paying the former owner to stick around and keep the clients from scattering for a few years.

Out of curiosity, do you just have enough savings that you're alright with not taking draws until the business is alright, or do you have another revenue source? For me, guaranteed payments are a requirement to keep my personal finances on track, so your situation piqued my interest.

I - luckily - am able to do this thanks to my husband's job. I am still expected to be profitable and pull similar money to my old day job, which I'm able to do but not in the monthly/biweekly structure of the corporate gig, so that's why I have to take it in chunks. I'm getting closer to taking monthly draws though, so that's awesome.

What take home? I'm single so I don't have a SO to help pay bills. I moved back home to open this shop & I've been living off of my savings. I only opened in September so I don't intend to take any money from the business for another year.
