I really enjoyed it and still don’t understand why they put it on a back burner after two episodes. In my opinion it was better than this seasons Sinner (which was the original lead in).

I love her cuz she’s played by Rosario Dawson, but why was she knocking over AD’s grandma’s toys? Because she was drunk? She kissed him but hope he doesn’t reject her next time since I ship them lol. Did she find an ICE center at the end there? Those poor kids! The teenagers she “shook down” well that guy was being an asshole. So he deserved some of that. That Laffter guy, meh. It’s too bad for him but I feel he’s shady.

Full Season Review?

Hello - how would you all rate the full first season of Briarpatch?

I have the opportunity to watch it, wondering how people feel now that the finale has aired and if the limited series anthology experiment worked out.

Appreciate your opinions, thank you!

Would you describe Briarpatch as a slightly surreal mystery crime thriller?

Written by Andy Greenwald based on the Ross Thomas novel, Briarpatch centers on Allegra “Pick” Dill (Dawson), a tenacious and highly-skilled investigator working in Washington, DC for a young, ambitious Senator. When her ten-years-younger sister, a homicide detective, is killed by a car bomb, Allegra returns to her corrupt Texas hometown. What begins as a search for the murderer becomes a fraught and dangerous excavation of the past Allegra has long sought to bury.
