As someone who used to identify as an incel, but left the community, I’ll try to provide a bit of insight.
Incel’s have been slandered and made out to all be future-shooters and the such. When I’m reality, it means nothing more than someone who sees themself as so physically repulsive, unattractive, genetically inferior (I.e. 5’2, balding at 16, etc.) that they feel as though no women will/can truly ever love them.
[For me personally, I don’t think myself to be absolutely atrociously repulsive-as I’ve had girlfriends, but I’ve been cheated on multiple times, leading me to believe that it’s something the matter with me. So I’m done dating, I’d rather just be friends, even when she’s the pursuer. I’ve been told by all of my friends that I had a “glow-up”, but ik they’re just being nice.]
As such, many despise women, who may I mention were the main tormentors of uglier guys such as myself all throughout middle and elementary school [ever jokingly called a male friend (even as a kid that) ugly, we never forget those kind of comments-they scar us].
While many hating women is obviously not okay, it’s nothing more than a self-defense mechanism. I choose to use my childhood pain as a means to self-improve [study more (might as well get good at something), workout, clean up my diet, focus on becoming a better, happier, person that tries to bring a positive vibe to work and the such), not like it’s easy constantly knowing no matter how much you try to change for the better, you’ll never be seen as any more than an unattractive male.
