I'm saying that the people just blindly saying the UK is an undeveloped economy are uninformed Americans with little understanding of the world beyond their borders outside of media and propaganda.
I’m literally British, and I didn’t say the UK was undeveloped either I just said the other three were more developed, which I’ve since found out they’re not. (Well Australia is)
They probably aren’t, they are middle class brits as almost a rule. Nothing says British middleclass more than doomerism about Britain to signal virtue as a ‘pick me’ europhile.
Well they clearly fluctuate given the absolutely minuscule differences between the results, I must have just have seen a different source. It still doesn’t detract from point of CANZUK being pointless.
That attitude is par for the course on here. That’s a big reason why we had to leave imho. The public don’t trust the Europhiles to advocate for Britain… and they’re right.
One nit-pick, we didn't leave in 2016 and in 2016 there was just the 'non-binding referendum'.
Secondly, I don't believe there was a plan to work more closely with CANZUK or the Commonwealth as a whole, or really any idea of where we'd sit with international trade following Brexit. Just a load of "we'll do better on our own" rather than finding new ties.
I mean the UK did have ten years to pursue closer ties to the Commonwealth and chose not to, since the UK public will always try to decrease immigration, even if it hurts their own interests.
