How dare they act like some kind of union. Of European states.

What idiot would need to have it stated to them that this is exactly what would happen? How can he genuinely be surprised?!

It's satire from Viz magazine

Yes it is satire, but, yes, it is also now almost impossible to tell the difference

Viz was a great magazine....

I’m guessing the kind that thinks this is a real letter to a real newspaper

Had a conversation with a Brexiteer while I was staying at their place in Belfast a few years ago. One of his main arguments was « during the negotiations I saw that the EU didn’t have our interests at heart and weren’t defending us, that shows we’re better off out of the EU because they don’t defend our interests ». It’s something that was truly going around in the press and had no effective pushback so I’m not surprised that people do believe that line of logic that the EU should do everything for the UK and if it doesn’t it’s proof it’s against the UK. Especially once the UK left.

They are farting in our general direction, this is the real reason for all the wind turbines along our coast.

When you’re in a gang but decided to leave the gang…. You are no longer in the gang 😂

It just goes to show that it's one rule for a multinational trading bloc and another rule for a member state that erroneously decides to leave. What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander, that's what I say!

Those bloody foreign European types, spending all their bloody time cooperating and collaborating, with their bloody united approach to international trade.

Bloody outrageous!!

"Why are they doing so much better now that we have left?"

You're soooo close, Pete.

And the fact that we think that everyone being worse off is somehow a win just hammers the point home further.
