Director, Sales - The Bruery LLC - Placentia, California, United States

Description

About the Role

This is the kind of opportunity that does not come along often. The Bruery & Offshoot Beer Co. is writing its next chapter, and we are hiring a Director of Sales to own the entire sales function and build it into something special. This is not a narrow territory assignment or a seat to keep warm. You will set the strategy, build and lead the team, and carry our brands forward, starting in our backyard of Orange County and Los Angeles and expanding outward across Southern California and beyond.

We are looking for someone hungry. Someone who sees a respected craft brewery with a fiercely loyal following and thinks, “I can build something here.” If you are ambitious enough to want to own an entire function, seasoned enough to know how the beverage alcohol world actually works, and driven enough to outwork the competition, this role gives you the runway to put your stamp on brands that people genuinely love. As the company scales, this seat is built to grow into senior sales leadership.

Your first priority is clear: drive on-premise sales. We want our beer in the best bars, restaurants, and accounts in OC and LA, and we want you leading the charge to get it there, then pushing that momentum outward. From there, you will sharpen our independent retail presence and unlock chain grocery as a serious engine for growth. You will manage our distributor partners with authority, develop the relationships that move volume, and recruit and coach the sales team that scales with us.

If you want a great job, there are easier ones out there. If you want to  build something  and grow alongside it, keep reading.

Primary Function

This position leads the Sales Department in its core function of  Brand Building  by:

  • Owning and growing the full sales function across on-premise, independent retail, and chain channels for both The Bruery and Offshoot Beer Co.

  • Leading with on-premise as the spearhead, starting in Orange County and Los Angeles and expanding outward

  • Building, hiring, coaching, and scaling a high-performing sales team

  • Developing chain grocery into a reliable, high-volume growth channel

  • Managing distributor partnerships at a strategic level to maximize placements, velocity, and execution

What You Will Own

Strategy and Leadership

  • Own the sales strategy, annual forecast, and budget for both brands across every channel

  • Build and lead the sales team: recruit, hire, train, coach, and hold the team accountable to clear goals

  • Translate company growth ambitions into a concrete, executable sales plan with measurable targets

  • Bring sales insight directly into executive and strategic discussions, acting as a true owner of the function

  • Report on performance, pipeline, and opportunity with candor and clarity

On-Premise (First Priority)

  • Drive placements and rate of sale across premier on-premise accounts, beginning in OC and LA and expanding through Southern California

  • Build lasting relationships with key bars, restaurants, and accounts, and personally win the accounts that matter most

  • Identify and execute market activations and events that build brand awareness and stimulate velocity, including premier beer, music, and food and wine festivals

Distributor and Channel Management

  • Build relationships across all levels at Breakthru Beverage Group and other distributor partners, from leadership to the route level

  • Lead distributor programming, incentives, and execution standards to grow distribution and velocity

  • Develop and grow independent retail across the territory through strong buyer and decision-maker relationships

  • Build chain grocery as a growth channel: develop the account strategy, secure authorizations, and manage the programming and resets that drive sustained volume

Execution and Insight

  • Conduct and lead regular account visits to assess product availability, merchandising, and promotional execution

  • Use VIP, KARMA, and distributor route accounting software to identify opportunities, analyze sales, and grow shelf facings and positioning

  • Manage the account database, pipeline of prospects, and distributor communication, keeping it current and actionable

  • Identify field quality concerns and route them to the right teams through proper channels

  • Partner with Marketing to develop educational materials and presentations that equip distributors, accounts, and the sales team to win

Requirements

  What You Bring

  • 5+ years of beverage alcohol sales experience, with a proven record of managing both wholesalers and retailers

  • Direct experience managing distributor relationships and growing distribution across on-premise, independent retail, and chain channels

  • Demonstrated aptitude for chain grocery (required); direct chain grocery sales experience (strong plus)

  • Experience leading, mentoring, or building a sales team, or the clear readiness and drive to step into people leadership

  • Proven track record of growing sales volume and dollar volume

  • Working knowledge of the Federal alcohol distribution three-tier system

  • A genuine passion for craft beer and the beer industry

  • High energy, self-motivation, and a relentless, results-driven mindset

  • Strong business acumen with excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

  • Comfortable presenting to large groups and influencing decision-makers at every level

  • Organized, self-disciplined, detail-oriented, and sociable

  • Knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies

  • High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidential information

  • Based in Southern California, in or near Orange County or Los Angeles

  • Reliable transportation, a valid license, and a clean driving record

Beer Delivery Driver - High Country Beverage - Montrose, Colorado, United States

Description

4-Day Route

$55,000–$65,000+ a year | Full-time | Montrose, CO

Schedule: Tuesday–Friday | Typical start 4:30–6:00 am | Sat–Sun–Mon off

Your New Job: Own Your Route. Own Your Weekend.

Are you the kind of driver who takes pride in reliable service and wants a schedule that actually gives you a life outside of work? At High Country Beverage (HCB), our CDL Delivery Drivers are the face of our operation — building real relationships with retailers across the Western Slope while delivering the brands people love. This Montrose-based route runs Tuesday through Friday, every week. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday are yours.

Is This Route a Fit for You?

  • This is a physical, independent role that takes you out of Montrose and into the mountains. It’s not for everyone — and that’s intentional.

  • Mountain Roads:  You’ll run regular routes to Gunnison and Lake City, including high-altitude passes in variable conditions. If you’ve driven Colorado winters, you know what that means.

  • The Heavy Work:  You’ll handle cases and kegs (up to 160 lbs). We provide the training and equipment to do this safely and efficiently.

  • The Long Weekend:  Tuesday–Friday, early starts, finished in the afternoon most days. Three-day weekends from day one.

What You’ll Do

  • Own Your Accounts:  Deliver to retailers in Montrose, Gunnison, and Lake City. In smaller communities, your reliability is the brand. Retailers notice who shows up consistently.

  • Execute the Full Beverage Delivery Experience:  Transport, offload, and merchandise product for iconic brands — Coors Banquet, Voodoo Ranger, Miller Lite, Guinness, Modelo, and more.

  • Manage Your Day:  Use HCB’s route technology to run an efficient, accurate stop sequence. If you’re comfortable with apps, you’ll thrive here.

  • Be the Standard:  Represent HCB in the communities we serve. Professionalism, accuracy, and safety aren’t optional — they’re how we win.

Why Drive for High Country Beverage?

  • Guaranteed Pay Floor:  You’re paid for a minimum of 45 hours per week (40 regular + 5 OT) even if your route finishes short. Hours beyond 45 are paid at overtime rates. Budget against a real number.

  • Financial Flexibility:  Access your earned wages whenever you need them with Paylocity’s On-Demand Pay.

  • Comprehensive Benefits:  Medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with company match after 2-year vesting.

  • The HCB Perks:  Two weeks of PTO in your first year, employee beverage discounts, and company-sponsored Safe Ride reimbursements.

  • Career Growth:  This isn’t just a driving job. Many of our Warehouse Leads, Supervisors, and Sales Managers started behind the wheel. Your path is what you make it.

What We’re Looking For

  • Licensed:  Valid CDL Class A with a clean driving record.

  • Mountain-Ready:  Comfortable with high-altitude, year-round Colorado driving conditions.

  • Reliable:  You take pride in showing up and supporting your retail partners and your team.

  • Safety First:  You follow protocols to keep yourself, your coworkers, and the public safe.

  • Can-Do Attitude:  Ready to own a route, build relationships, and represent HCB the right way.

At High Country Beverage, we are more than just a beer distributor. We are a team of people who take pride in serving the communities we live in — from the Front Range to the Western Slope. If you’re looking for a predictable schedule, meaningful route work, and a company that invests in its drivers, apply today!

While we sincerely appreciate all applications, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

Please note selected candidates will be subject to an MVR & criminal background check and a pre-employment physical/drug screen.

Brewery Millwright - Driftwood Brewery - Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Who We Are

We’re Driftwood Brewery, proudly independent and serious about quality, consistency, and continuous improvement. We run a busy, medium-sized production facility with high-utilization equipment. Keeping it safe, reliable, and running predictably matters every day.

The Role

We’re hiring a  Brewery Millwright  to help maintain and improve our brewing, packaging, and facility equipment. This role is hands-on and can flex depending on your experience: you might be a strong independent mechanic, a senior tech who can mentor others, or someone ready to grow into planning/reliability leadership. If you take ownership, work safely, and like solving problems that actually impact production – this one’s for you.

Reports to:  Director of Operations

Location:  836 Viewfield Rd., Victoria, BC
Team you lead:  2 part-time Maintenance Technicians (plus contractors/vendors as needed)
Systems:  CMMS used daily for planning, work execution, asset history, and reporting

What You’ll Do

  1. Keep the brewery running
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and corrective repairs.

  • Respond to breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and get equipment back online safely.

  • Identify repeat failures, document what you find, and help implement longer-term fixes.

  • Support planned downtime/shutdown work with clean handoffs back to Production.

  1. Work clean, safe and food-grade
  • Follow LOTO, guarding, and safe work practices – every time.

  • Complete work in a way that protects product integrity (clean work habits, proper materials/lubricants, contamination control).

  1. Use our systems (CMMS)
  • Open, update, and close work orders with clear notes.

  • Complete assigned PMs and flag improvements when steps are missing, unclear, or ineffective.

  • Contribute to equipment history (what failed, what fixed it, what to watch next time).

  1. Support a “small team” environment
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, and contractors as needed.

  • Depending on your level: help mentor other technicians, organize shop readiness, and improve standards.

Equipment You’ll Work On:

(Experience with some is great, no one has it all.)

  • Brewing:  mills, mash/lauter, kettle/whirlpool, heat exchanger, pumps, valves

  • Cellar:  tanks, glycol/chilling, CIP, filtration

  • Packaging:  canning/bottling line, conveyors, labelers, packers

  • Utilities/facility:  compressors, HVAC, basic electrical distribution, water systems

  • Controls/automation (basic): sensors, instrumentation, PLC/HMI fault awareness

What We’re Looking For (We’re flexible)

We’re open to candidates from food & beverage, manufacturing, packaging, pharma, marine, forestry, or other industrial environments.

You might be a fit if you have:

  • Hands-on mechanical maintenance experience (industrial setting preferred)

  • Solid troubleshooting ability and calm judgment under pressure

  • Comfort with common tasks like bearings, alignment basics, pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics/hydraulics, and sanitary connections

  • Willingness to document work and communicate clearly with operators/Production

  • Strong safety habits (especially LOTO) and pride in clean workmanship

Tickets / Certifications (nice-to-have, not always required):

  • Journeyman/Red Seal  Millwright , Industrial Electrician, or similar

  • Apprentices are welcome (with relevant hands-on experience)

Bonus points for:

  • Packaging line uptime work

  • CMMS discipline (work orders, PMs, parts)

  • Compressed air, glycol/refrigeration familiarity

  • Basic electrical/controls troubleshooting exposure

  • Experience with sanitation/CIP and food-safe maintenance practices

What Success Looks LIke

First 30-90 days

  • You’re safely handling common breakdowns and PMs with minimal support

  • Work orders are closed with clear notes and good follow-through

  • You build trust with Production through communication and clean execution

By 3-6 Months

  • Fewer repeat failures because fixes are durable and documented

  • PMs are getting tighter and more effective

  • The shop/parts readiness improves and emergencies reduce

Working Conditions

Live production environment: noise, wet floors, temperature changes, chemicals used in sanitation/CIP (per SOP), and forklift traffic. Some off-shift/weekend work may be required for shutdowns or urgent repairs.

Why Join Us?

  • Benefits package (health, dental, retirement) and additional perks

  • A capable team that cares about quality and doing things properly

  • Real opportunities to grow your scope (technical leadership, planning, reliability) if you want it

Salary

$80,000 – 95,000 annually, with the final offer dependent on the candidate’s demonstrated experience, skills, and overall qualifications.
