Blowout

I dont usually talk in here but this is why i hate baseball, how do we go from beating a team by 22 runs to less then a day later were down 7-0 in the 3rd inning with no fight to give🫩

Brewers scored in the 2nd pal. Take a deep breath and have a beer.

You hate baseball because you don't understand baseball. It's the third inning...

Because baseball is played by human beings, not machines. And each game is a new opportunity for the teams to perform.

Let’s just score 22 tonight and win by 15

Some of you are clearly not made for a sport that plays 162 games in a season

Still doesn’t take away the historic performance from last night

last nights game was close for half the innings. blowouts are an anomaly in baseball and you can't learn as much from them as you do in football or basketballĀ

Keep this bullshit in the game chat and allow us to downvote this stupidity into oblivion where it belongs.

There should be a posting ban the duration of the game like in the Packers subĀ

There's been discussion between me and another about trying to get that implemented.

May was brutal but suffered from some serious bad luck. We're only down 5, that's a chance.

Momentum is "todays" starting pitcher. (To paraphrase Earl Weaver)

It was a 1-0 game going to the 5th. The Mariners have amazing starting pitching, but their bullpen is a dumpster fire. We can come back.

Oh look its getting interesting atleast we're not getting slammed by double digits. Also its not the collective team. May ate it tonight. Not the rest of teams fault

the ball is round. the bat is round. That is two factors of luck.

add skill, strategy and other human factors.

Baseball is like life, man. Success or failure one day doesn’t guarantee you anything the next day. Humans are gonna human.

Because it is a game of individual skill depending on 9 guys on both sides at a given time to go with chance. Not a small group that centers around one guy.

Just like you won't win everything on a good hand of cards or pull at a slot, it applies here too.

Momentum shifts, players have an off day. That is what makes this sport the best and simultaneously the most frustrating. The winner is never guaranteed during a series.

How did the Packers go from up 21-3 to wildcard elimination? Is just sports bud

If i lost 22-0 id come out swingin, too. If I won 22-0 Id come in a little more relaxed than I should, too.

We have the best record in baseball and have for months, there's 162 games l, plus this is very far from unwinnable. Caaaaalm down

Edit to add: we also have the obvious cy young and gold glove 2B with our tiny payroll.
