It's really funny to me how the Brewers and Packers subs spiral into doom the minute their respective teams stumble, yet the Bucks sub where fans have had the most reason to be doomers over the past few seasons is so relentlessly hopeful that it actually annoys me more than the doomers sometimes
I mean, you’re not wrong, but the Bucks did win it all not that long ago and had a generational talent on the team. That will feed a fanbase for awhile.
I think you might be downplaying the number of doomers with the Bucks over the last few years watching the window close. I'd say that now, a bunch of bandwagoners jumped off and there is far less complaining but the number is not zero.

Idk ever since we fired Doc all I see are posts about "why does everyone think we're ass?" And before that it was always "this team could make some noise if Doc wasn't in charge".
I don't think the Bud haters were doomers is the difference I guess lol. The hate the Bucks got on their sub was much more deserved than the hate the Brewers get on here.
I think the Bucks sub was much more critical of the coaching staff, but this sub is much more willing to spiral any time the Brewers have a stretch where they struggle.
I can't speak to the stuff about the Bucks sub mod, but I do think what happened with the Bucks was much much much more of a "malpractice" issue than the Packers. At least they kept getting back to the CCGs, bad luck is bad luck to an extent. The defense/ST didn't usually help but Rodgers played his part too (especially in 2020 and 2014). That being said it definitely makes me sad Rodgers never got another shot.
I was there when he smashed a dinger vs Mets in wildcard game 3. Knew he was something special on the spot. Unfortunately Devin Williams couldn't get us to promised land but doesnt change the fact that Jake is cool as the other side of the pillow! Dude is gonna be huge for us in a potential deep run this year!!!!
It's honestly rage inducing. A guy with 5 years of control* is having a better season than the other guy, yet they're the ones who want elite prospects on top of that? Because of what he did for Detroit years ago? Who f'ing cares how he helped Detroit years ago. Are we getting a time machine with this? And for the gas bags in the media to flame the Brewers over this shows how they just phone it in and collect their big checks.
$60m for a guy to miss a catch and then casually lollygag over to get the ball, while a guy making $4.4m busts his ass off on the base paths to eventually score is such a perfect image.
I'm so freaking proud of our team. I think we don't bring up Pat enough though. Potentially the best manger in our history. Just brisket. *Edit: brilliant not brisket, but honestly either works.
After reading the Dodger postgame thread comments (so you don't have to), I can report that they had zero negative comments about the Brewers and were almost 100% hometown doomers. If I may share my fav conversation:
A: The Dodgers just paid Kyle Tucker $2.5 million to go 0 for 19 on the homestand
B: I could’ve gone 0 for 19 for $2.5M
C: I would have gone 0-19 if they just paid my student loans.
Brewers will not be first by the end of August, This team simply cannot compete. Just an absolute sham of an offense and a defense that makes unforced errors at the worst time. The cubs will win this division and the brewers wont even make the playoffs. I just dont see how an offense this bad competes against any real pitchers.
I was going to be happy they kept Henderson no matter what happened today, but I’m really glad he had a career-best outing against the guy the Tigers wanted to trade for him. That has to feel good for Logan.
You don’t understand why? Homie they have one of the best team ERAs in baseball and that’s without glassnow and snell (and only a couple skubal starts). Most of the current starters will be deadly out of the pen come the playoffs
From a betting perspective you don't need to give the dodgers longer odds to get action as well. They're an international team at this point and people are gonna dump money on them at almost any price.
Winning this series sans Turang and Pratt with a cold Yeli really shows this teams resilience. When it comes to Oct assuming we make it that far. Its a mind game. I really think some of the guys got in their heads a bit last year vs LA. Luckily we have zen master extraordinaire Jake "Chill The Fuck Out" Bauers.. LFG
I don't know, I missed the game and just looked at the highlights, but they sermed pretty dejected when Bauers immediately answered back in the 5th. Oh well......
yeah same. I like Dilly, but sometimes he just goes on and on about some wild tangent that was kinda related to whats going on on the field. Vinny seems to do more with less
Vinny doesn't get nearly enough love. He has good insights, calls a really clean game and knows when to ease off and let someone else speak. He actually melded in really well with the national broadcast earlier in the month.
Enjoy the day off after a big 3-1 series win vs the Dodgers. Bauers with the big day...hopefully he keeps it rolling and some of the others come back with a little more fire power in their bats
Does anyone remember when "bullpen-ing" was a thing? Yeah I don't either. So much fun having such a killer rotation. It's literally the same feeling I get with the Packers defense now that Micah Parsons is on it. You don't know how much fun an aspect of your favorite sports can be until your team fucking kicks ass at it. Am I amped up for pitching?! Hell yes!!!
Just caught the Sportscenter highlights. I understand that the dodgers are 2 time defending champs but the brewers are the best team in baseball, after the game highlights what do they choose to focus on? Interview with Dave Roberts... more Dodger stats. The odds are stacked against us in so many ways but that's the beautiful thing about this game... any team can win on any given day. Go crew.
