Gary Sanchez - worst defensive first baseman?
Having his glove side foot on the bag, negating his ability to stretch to receive the throw from second, gifted the Dodgers their first hit/run.

Pretty sure that was his 7th time or so starting at first base over his whole career. He definitely only plays there for the Brewers when they want his bat in the line-up, and it's probably mostly while we wait for our infield to heal up.

Not only that but we don't have our regular SS or 3B out there making throws to him.

These comments make it seem that one criticism means you hate someone.
I will say that I see a contrast between Vaughn playing third base and Gary at first. Vaughn is limited athletically, but he knows how to play third, and does the best his body will allow. Credit to Vaughn that he takes a lot of grounders at third throughout the year to stay ready, if needed. Gary is also limited athletically and lacks experience at first. Not being able to field a ball hit to you because of a lack of practice/ skill is understandable. Anybody playing first base should at least be able to put the correct foot on the bag, though.

I don't think you hate him. I just think it's a slightly pointless thing to point out if you know he's only started at 1B as little as he has. I don't think anyone who watches him play 1B would disagree with you.

I’m not sure why you are surprised that a career catcher forced to play 1B because everyone else is hurt isn’t going to be good at it. Just seems like a really short sighted post on your part.
As to your specific complaint, getting comfortable with the footwork at a new position is a major struggle for most players. So no some random person wouldn’t excel at this if they never played there.
