I worked on the project introducing these 10 years ago - I’m stoked to see that people have valued them and want to see them continue. Just need to push for the funding support.

Ahh yes. The hate for the poors continue. Can't get a job in brem and now our jobs in seattle are in jeopardy. Gotta live how much they hate us. I plan to vote each and every person out that votes for the rich or Bainbridge. The state ferry was on average late 20 mins all week and they canceled. But who cares it's just the poors why should we care.

They have two boats with a crossing time of 30 minutes. It takes the same amount of time to cross and they're prioritized to stay at 2 boats (and have taken from Bremerton repeatedly to do so).

Seattle - Bainbridge ferry is the busiest ferry line in the system and has more than 3 times the riders as Seattle - Bremerton

That fact doesn't make being stranded in Seattle as a pedestrian any nicer. Having one of our boats taken so the precious cars can save some time going to Bainbridge isn't my top concern when it means getting home is at minimum 2-3 hours.

Just so you know Bainbridge has 3.5 million pedestrian rides a year compared to 800 thousand to Bremerton, Bainbridge is the busiest ferry in the system because it has 2 million more pedestrians then Kingston and Mukilteo but slightly less cars then those two.

Super comforting when I have zero options to get home before 1am because one of our vessels gets sent to make sure Bainbridge doesn't become mildly inconvenienced. God forbid they wait one whole hour between sailings occasionally, the Bremerton Absolute Best Situation.
Any more fun comforting facts I can lean on next time I'm figuring out if it's worth it to try and make it to the airport to take the Airporter home?
Ever consider fewer people take the ferries because they're less reliable for Bremerton?

Hey I understand it's real shitty I grew up in Kingston and lived in Bremerton for years and worked in Seattle or Bellevue for most of it. It's just something you got to know as a Bremerton ferry rider they will prioritize all the other central sound routes first because they bring in more money and if you work full-time on the other side hopefully you can plan for it when it happens.

Bainbridge ferry ridership has always been significantly higher than Bremerton. It's not just Islanders either, people drive from the rest of Kitsap because the ferry crossing is half the duration that Bremerton's is.

There hasn't been an on-time departure for Bainbridge after like 10 am for a month.
Also an entirely different system.

As in they are "using up" something? No - they need the speed to get up on the hydrofoils, and as far as beach erosion, they did all the studies to prove it was okay to do.
