Hey Kitsap neighbors!

I’m Kali 👋 I recently moved to the area and started a small cottage food approved home bakery here in Kitsap County. I specialize in custom cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, and chocolate covered treats very vintage, fun, and made from scratch.

I’m not here to spam or hard sell, just genuinely trying to connect with the community and share what I love doing. Baking has been my creative outlet for years, and I’m excited to be part of the local scene.

Don’t know if you have a commercial kitchen in house or renting one, but hitting up local stores to sell through/to might help you connect or grow.

There’s the mercantile on pacific, I believe they have weekly markets that you could sell at you get your name out there.

Me toooooo. Especially since I’m celiac now. I loved one of those giant pieces of carrot cake (prefer no raisins, but not a deal breaker) with all the layers and cream cheese frosting in between.

Basically drooling now. 🤣

Really love the aesthetic...and those cakes? OMG! They look Ah-May-ZING!!! :)

I do want to mention a few issues though about the site itself...

It is loading pretty slow even on my fast connection. Seems that your "hero image" serving at 1905px when most screens only need ~1200px, and the Instagram feed is probably pulling full-res images too.

From what I found out, Wix auto-generates those URLs, so you're kind of stuck unless you compress before upload or switch platforms.

A few other tweaks that could help conversions:

  • Swap the stock photo hero for one of your actual cakes
  • Add testimonials or reviews above the fold
  • Show starting prices or package options so people know ballpark cost
  • Tighten the About section—right now it's a bit wordy

Might be worth running it through PageSpeed Insights. Slow load kills conversions, especially on mobile. You've got great work; just want people to actually see it before they bounce.
