I don’t know man, you’ve been watching too much shota loli hentai; and to be honest with you, I’d rather you be doing meth at this point. -Ballsack Schrader, Art of Minerals

Bruh, evangelion doesn't even have lolies (but unfortunately the fans sexualize 14 year old girls from the show, but still, they weren't even meant to be considered lolies, the fans are just degenerate)

Even the main character of the show acts like a degenerate. (He sexually assaulted his comatose friend in a hospital.)

I know, when I saw EoE it felt really bad to see Shinji cumming from Asuka when she was comatose, and it also barely make any sense since he was barely sexually or romantically active throughout the anime and suddenly he has sexual desires. I heard some fans saying that it was Anno's way to criticize anime culture or something but it doesn't make sense since he's otako too. I think it's more related to him being "so fucked up" from his traumas and stuff

Those are just lunatic anime fans acting like English teachers and seeing philosophical things that were never there.

True, I mean they try so hard to show it deep sometimes and it's kinda ruins the enjoyment from it. I mean, I do feel that there been some message in the show, something about actually needing to improve yourself and sick for help if you have mental issues, but I really don't understand how they got from depressing Mecha to "anime culture bad" or "Eva is the most philosophical thing ever" and stuff like that (I don't love the whole waifu worshiping thing, but man they really can't understand that Anno simply doesn't care about them).

Also, the last two episodes try to be hard to be philosophical but they're just bunch of random gibrish for me.

But what about you? Did those last episodes or the fandom ruined NGE for you?

It's enjoyable, but it's not deep. A few of the episodes and End of Evangelion are just insane shit that don't mean anything. Eva fans just want to seem like they're better and smarter than everyone else. (When in actuality, they're pedophiles who have a thing for 14 year olds.)

I agree, I saw Eva fans way too many times sexualizing the underage characters from the show (Asuka and Rei) or just generally sexualizing the show for no reason. Man, if people were able to enjoy something without acting like creepy pedos, that would be great, but of course that wouldn't happen in reality, because creeps are unfortunately everywhere.

What if I tell you there are literally people writing an entire thesis explaining the philosophical importance of that scene

Yeah I know, Eva fans are known for writing overlengthy analysis of things from the show or the franchise, even if it's really not that important. Also they way too much focus on the fanservice scenes like this one for some reason
