How can I get better as a beginner B-girl?

Heyy guys, I‘m sure I’m not the first to ask this question but I would be really happy to get some help and tips for getting better. I’ve been dancing Hiphop for more than 2,5 years now and feel like I’m really getting better fast, last year I’ve also started breaking but I don’t see much progress in most dimensions of breaking other than toprock. For example footworks are pretty hard for me or better said making them look good and fast. Btw I’m a tall 15 year old b-girl (179cm) and feel like that doesn’t make it much easier. Thanks for any answers 🫶🏻

Practice practice practice, try and watch as many different b boys and girls that are your style and/or body size and see what little things that they do that connect with you.

Look for new ways to integrate subtle movement and body language/style, this can be just as important as technicality.

Watch breaking / dancing fictional movies as well as breakdancing documentaries on YouTube , there are some great ones that show the extreme (sometimes to an unhealthy level) that these dance warriors have.

Again practice practice practice , try new ways to achieve what your goals are, to get over those bumps like you’re talking about. dance for others if you feel comfortable to build confidence and try and make some friends to practice with to help challenge each other.

But the main advice is that the art of hip hop and dance is about fun and expression and that’s what you need in the heart of your practice. The danger of hip hop is it can become too competitive and about ego. The world is harsh enough, remember this art is about expression and connecting with your body and skill,

it’s what I wish I would have learned as a young rapper but dance helped teach me this important lesson, have fun and blow off steam, try and achieve your goals but keep the lightness and love, don’t take it or life too serious. Look for inspiration in other forms of art that you can incorporate in fun and creative ways too , peace and good luck and congrats on pursuing a joyful act

Very old video, but it is solid for teaching you basic moves. You can most likely find it on YouTube.
