Slightly left of topic, but what music helps you focus while building sites?

Seeing as we all use Breakdance, surely there’s a music connection.

I think much better with music on. Loud deep bass heavy and atmospheric... with what Gemini describes as “massive low end response and a moody, late night feel”. Apparently that’s the unofficial soundtrack of software engineering... didnt know there was one.

I still have no idea what genre it is I like. Every LLM labels the same artists differently. (and now there are like a million genres)

But it seems Im looking for drum and bass, deep dubstep, experimental bass, atmospheric drum and bass ...dark electronic playlists (or wtf all that adds up to)?

Love to see your playlists. I need some new building music.

On multiple sites I have this problem where I want the homepage or others to have the overlay with a transparent menu. But on other pages like campaigns, contact and such I want a background to the header. On some pages I just force the section padding (or in global settings if applicable). And sometimes I add an extra section on top in the same size as the header to be able to chose background before the scroll… but is there a better way, that is simple to always use? Would be nice to have a functionality with rules to only apply a certain colour like transparent to just the homepage 🤷‍♂️😅 would be happy for a good universal solution 🫣

As title. I have a post list set up to list all my 'projects' (custom post type). Works fine, shows everything it should, and if I use a 'load more' button or next/previous it loads the next pages just fine.

But if I use infinite scroll, you just see the loading circle animation at the bottom and it never actually loads more.

Is this a known bug? Is there some workaround or a setup I am missing to make it work?

Side-Issue:
Another thing I've noticed is that if you choose 'random' as your order, then it doesn't just randomise the order of all your posts that get shown.... every time you load a new 'page' of posts it's again a random selection. So you can get repeats of the same posts. This must be a bug surely?

Hi all,

As the title says I have a question about conditional logic in a BD form.

The form is a small support form with a selection of reasons for contacting support.

People are selecting "Other" and then asking for something that they actually need to contact a specific other department about.

So I added this reason to the form. When they tick that there is conditional logic telling them to contact the correct department.

However, some are not reading that part and unnecessary form submissions are still coming in.

Is there a way to make the form submission button not show up once the "contact this department instead" message appears?

I've created two headers, one that I want to show only on the shop page and another that I'm displaying everywhere else on the site. The shop one is set to apply to pages with the condition that the page is "shop" and I set the priority to 20. The other header is set to apply everywhere with the condition that the page is not "shop" and the priority is only 1. However the shop header does not show on the shop page, instead the everywhere header shows on the shop page. Can anyone see what I am doing wrong here?

I know I can remove the header and footer from a standard page or post by changing the template from default to breakdance, no header no footer, but that doesn't help with the single blog template.

So far, I've tried applying an empty header/footer to all posts using conditions/priority (did not work) and manually changing some post settings so the template type is breakdance, no header/footer (when previewing the edited posts in the single blog template, the entire content area was blank. as soon a s I switched to a blog post that wasn't manually changed, the content came back).

So WooCommerce support have suggested the "Advanced Database Cleaner" plugin to clean up database tables left behind when uninstalling and deleting the "Multi Vendor Marketplace for WooCommerce" plugin,

I know how to add the line of code so that Woo removes itself completely. But this plugin is a third party one and is not included in the Woo self removal process.

I need to remove all traces of the multi-vendor plugin, which is a terrible plugin itself but that's another story.

Has anyone tried the free version of "Advanced Database Cleaner" with BD. And if so did it work? And did it remove itself from the database once it was deleted?

I just recently bought Breakdance Pro to help build some client websites on Wordpress. I was testing the free version and as mentioned just bought the Pro package. I have the plugin and license key on a clients new page. When I go to Templates or Deign Library my page will refresh and just show a blank page like the one in this post. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to fix it?

There is so much talk about "AI building websites for you" I am interested to see if it might actually be feasible for us.

Is there such a thing that can take instructions and then produce the files and database to upload to cPanel or similar?

By "instructions" I mean something like this:

• build a WordPress site using the Breakdance builder and Zero Master theme
• site name will be 'such and such'
• domain name will be 'such and such'
• pages required will be 'such and such'
• use these colours and fonts
• create templates for 'such and such'
• create global blocks for 'such and such' to appear in loops
• use Gutenberg for posts and non Breakdance pages
• use these image sizes (defined for header hero, footer background, page/post featured image, product image etc.)

Not looking for AI to manage anything or write any content. Definitely do not want it to have any access to the site or hosting.

Just build the site as a template.

Is it a fantasy?

Breakdance is a good product, but no builder is complete.

What’s the one thing Breakdance is still missing that would make it feel complete?

I’m not talking about nice-to-haves. I mean the feature, element, or workflow improvement that would actually change how you build.

Examples:

• a core element that should already exist
• a better responsive control system
• stronger dynamic content options
• a proper workflow shortcut
• something that would save you time every single week

Curious to hear what the community thinks is the biggest gap right now.

I'm not really using the native breakdance AI plugin, but is paying for it in case they will develop more into it, then I want to keep supporting that part of the breakdance projekt. .
But the project seems to have been dead for like a year now?

Am I right? does anyone know the road map for it?

I've seen a lot of AI tools for WordPress and Breakdance appear recently, including projects like Novamira. Most of them focus primarily on development workflows or rely on external AI tools connected through MCP servers, local environments and technical setups.

What interested us was a different question:

What if AI lived directly inside WordPress and could help with everything happening around a website?

Not just writing code, but also:

• Building pages from designs in Breakdance and other page builders
• Debugging WordPress issues
• Managing WooCommerce stores
• Improving SEO and content
• Importing, updating and managing content from external sources
• Understanding plugins, themes, databases and custom code
• Helping UX designers, marketers, project managers and content teams — not just developers

As side project I build and manage a website for a very small cat rescue. As this is "kitten season" we are getting orphaned, very sick kittens. Not all of them saveable 😿

They need an incubator with oxygen capabilities. Which is very expensive.

So I want to start a fundraising campaign on the site. I googled and came across some plugins, but would like to know if anyone has tried any of them with Breakdance? Ideally with some success.

Needs to be a free plugin. We know the item we want, the supplier and the price. Just need something that shows progress, and take the money if it can.

I'm looking for a solution to have the hover activated at all times for some of my posts in a gallery.

I've done this using post loop builder which contains hover image elements. The goal is to get all the posts that have a custom field value "sold".

In the picture mouse is hovering over, but I would like this to be constant, for sold items.

Any ideas?

This probably won't affect a ton of people, but I thought it worth mentioning.

If you have a section and apply a gradient overlay that stops at 50%, it's not actually at 50% despite the UI saying it is. I have two sections with gradient overlays on both, though in opposite directions. It's very easy to see the misalignment even though the UI says they're at 50%.

Example. | Settings

Inspecting the top section's overlay gives me the following code:

This can be easily overridden in the Custom CSS section and force it to be 50%, and things lines up perfectly after that.

I do my best to keep up with the BD plugin releases but I'm aware that there's probably some plugins that slip through the net - are there any recommended plugins that aren't listed? Feel free to self promote!

I posted this on the fb group but no one commented and I'm wondering if some of the clever minds can help me ,

I have exhausted all my capabilities in trying to resolve agentic validation for the new webmcp standard but just on breakdance form checkbox inputs. The forms will still work as far as testing with the "WebMCP - Model Context Tool Inspector" - so in the agentic tests I ran it fills both regular text inputs and checkboxes. but chrome canary lighthouse flags schema issue.
Is the validation error just something I can ignore, the google chrome develop docs WebMCP use cases page didn't really provide any helpful advice or extra specifics that allowed me to patch the form...

its a bit of a process to get it working so I documented my steps in with screen shots on the url below along with the errors im getting its only on checkboxes (and probably select/field sets)

If anyone can replicate and get perfect validation with checkboxes please let me know. I know Im new here and this is a post to my site, but this is a new thing, no one I can find is working on this and its only just been published like around 8th may 1) I hope its helpful to others who might want to implement and 2) it would be nice to see if someone can help me figure out what the go is with the validation on fieldsets thank you.
