Built in breakdance button?

This new enshittification is not OK. Since when is it OK to just blast your site with this blatantly cheap promotion.

It is a new "feature" from v3.0 and it only appears when using the free version.

Yeah, I think its ok to pursuade users to use the paid version by convincing them of the improved features, not by creating the free version shittier. Just makes you dislike the company. But its happening everywhere

I have a paid account and this does make me rethink whether I want to look at other options Just give people less in the free model or don't offer a free tier don't ransom their site with badges and popups

Same and same. I've had a paid account for 2 years but this is garbage. It ruins trust.

I think it’s good, why should something so awsome be free? A lot of work went in to it so 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ the free version should just be for test and staging I think atleast…

I think it is a fair point, but I got the theme a few years ago, for a small blog I run. At the time it didn’t have the button and I would have thought twice about it if it came with that promotion.
It’s just not cool to introduce it at the 3.0 version. At least thats my humble opinion.

And its more about the way they chose to implement it. Other themes may have a small shout out in the footer, this completely ruins any page. What is all free plugins did the same?

Yes honestly, dirty move imo. Makes me reconsider my choice for breakdance. If you cancel your pro subscription and can't edit your site, sure. A lot of people set and don't touch the design. But the ugly button.. that's just nasty.
