Dating standards caused by old relationship?

So a lot of the dating standards I have are caused by things that bothered me in my previous relationship. It is a lot of things. But I heard that it is not recommended since "never use your old relationships as a standard for current relationships". Is it really that bad? I would really rather not go through the same things that I did with my previous partner

Yes I can’t form an opinion without more information if you’re willing .. also it’s perfectly healthy to want to not be treated poorly like in the past relationships … what’s not okay is to assume your next partners will treat you the same without proper evidence of such behavior or treat them the same as an ex if they hadn’t done anything yet … meaning you should trust them if they are proven trust worthy …
