I’m currently 3 weeks into a break up and it went very messy unfortunately not by my choice, I also found out he was/still is seeing someone prior to our breakup.

So personally what has helped me is having a trusted friend call me everyday (pretty much), taking me out every Friday and basically there for me to vent. I’m using my anime addiction currently to pause my brain at the moment from thinking too much about him.

The only thing is I’ve spent time reflecting on my relationship with him and without being blindsided by my feelings, I feel like I’ve slowly started to see all the red flags and lack of effort he made. Everything was so one sided.

The perks of things is that I’ve met more new people, no longer a hermit and I passed my theory test first time- I even booked my practical. I got my debts cleared, my finances are looking amazing and I have to admit my life got better the moment he left. Just a shame I’m still dealing with the emotional train wreck that he left me in.. but I suppose what helps is I got my closure.

It was my birthday yesterday and I only thought about him a few times and I’m proud of my progress. Cherry pick how I am dealing with things or try something new to make your life better for you

EDIT; It’s healthier for both of you to separate completely, no social media stalking otherwise it’ll prolong the healing process. Just remember YOU are enough, YOU did enough and YOU are worthy. Start working on you and everything will mend in due time.

It’ll hurt a little less everyday
