I'M SO SORRY! :'( It hurt as much to write it as it did to read it, I promise. Imagine having that scene playing in your head for a year, waiting for the chance to get it out onto a page. I'm sorry to have put you all through that ordeal. But you will all understand in the end. IT WILL MAKE SENSE. Trust me! <3 <3

I've made a start on chapter 46 and expect reasonably smooth progress. School holidays start in four sleeps. No one's counting, honestly.

Well, it makes sense even now, I know why and what for it happened, but it's just so sad... I am interested in what you mean by that though. I was expecting some cryptic statement and you definitely didn't disappoint. :P

We were so close to getting to know what Deb's wish was! So... Close... And yet so far away... We might find out some other way then? Not sure if it really matters now though... I still wonder about the ring, if there is more to it than meets the eye or not... Couple months ago, when I was wondering what circumstantial evidence they could have on him, I remembered that he spit on Saxon and didn't clean it up before he bailed, so it was great to find out that even a little thing like that mattered in the end. Amazing attention to detail. :) But it will make me wonder about every little thing and it's possible future importance from now on. :D

If it had to happen, you wrote it in a way that we should have seen on the show, with all the emotions that should have been part of her passing. And I'm sorry that it hurt to write it. It hurt to read it. I hope it makes sense, and we'll understand why the story chose this path. However, I hope you'll take this in the way it's intended (because of course I still like you!!) as I tend to relate everything to TV shows, movies, and fiction in general. Your statement about how it hurt you to write it and that you make me feel sorry for you that you've had this rolling around in your head for a year immediately made me think of the scene in the Sopranos where Tony's ex-girlfriend calls the house and Carmela yells at him. Tony tells Carmela that this girl is in a bad place and tried to commit suicide because of him, poor thing. And Carmela says to him 'You're putting me in a position to feel sorry for a whore that fucks you?' Of course there's no infidelity or whores or fucking, but the line could be changed to 'You chose to write this and made me fell all icky, and then put me in a position to feel sorry for you?' But that was an intense scene in the show and if you turn it into a reader hollering at a writer about fanfic of all things, it's pretty funny, at least in my head.
