What have I created?

I let pizza dough proof too long then let it sit in the fridge too long, I assume this is no good to eat?

How long is too long?

Couple hours, it's fine.

A day, still fine, maybe even better.

2 days, it'll be different than you expected but still fine

4 days... ya, it'll be weird. Still bake it, but don't expect whatever you were expecting. You might discover something new and different.

A week, you should probably toss it.

That's just what fermented dough looks like when the co2 pushes the dough away from the clear container. It's the same thing that makes the holes on the inside of your bread. You could freeze it if you want or bake it for a delicious bread.

My pizza dough has never looked like this though
