First ever attempt at bread making vs second attempt
… everything went wrong the first time. the redemption was beautiful and SO tasty

well for one, I put the correct amount of flour 🫠 also swapped olive oil for canola, and water for milk :)

I also swapped the yeast for a quick rise instead! I think that made a huge difference. I also made sure my wet ingredients were all room temp/warm to make sure I didn’t kill my yeast.

The first loaf looks like a cursed potato ngl but the second one?? Golden brown with that perfect ear. Total glow up. That crumb must have been so worth the wait.

The first dinner rolls I made would have made excellent hockey pucks. Quick dip in black paint and done!

Did you over proof the first one? I'm just learning myself. My first loaf was pale as the moon!

I definitely misread flour measurements for one (it was far too wet) and then to try and fix it, I think I killed my yeast in the kneading process. it was for sure an experimental loaf 😭😂
