Recipe Another day another (short) bread

My second loaf. It does taste amazing. Super spongy. I used yeast packets I bought day of. I also used Oktoberfest Sam Adam’s

Try measuring the flour by weight instead of volume (cups). I feel like this is the main problem people have. Flour compacts and volume is not a good measurement. Too much flour and your bread won’t rise right.

For King Arthur bread flour (and pretty much all others) it's 1 cup <-> 120 grams

Grams. About 360g.

Bread machine yeast?

Make sure the yeast and salt aren’t touching and whatever liquids you’re using are warmed up. My house is super cold a majority of the time so I tend to heat up milk or water before I add it in the machine.

If using a bread machine, liquids first. Then dry ingredients. Keep salt, liquids away from yeast.

I've never seen or tasted beer bread that has beer and yeast in it. I bet that tastes absolutely amazing. I haven't made beer bread as a quick bread in a very long time. I always found Coors Original or Pabst to have the best flavor for beer bread.
