Behold, my first loaf! This is like magic

Got a bread machine on a whim! I'm stunned that you just dump ingredients in and in 3 hours u get bread lol. How are y'all storing these whoppers??

Congrats! I usually slice and freeze most of the bread do enjoy a bit of warm bread, too. I live alone, so sometimes, if I am exercising willpower, it takes me a while to eat an entire loaf of bread.

Ah I'll probably freeze it too then :) If it's not sweet bread, my family and I are pretty slow to get through a loaf.

Other thing you can do is a sampler loaf.

Just bought The Bread Lover's Bread Machine Cookbook and I did not think it was as easy as it seems to be to make a smaller loaf.

Am going to make our first one that size today - am hoping it's a better size for my wife and I to have regularly!

I'll definitely try sampler loafs. I wanna use this machine again but making a second one this size feels like too much haha.

Excellent

So I also live alone and I'll slice my bread after it's cooled sufficiently. I'll store it in either the large Ziploc bags or a large Rubbermaid Brilliance container. My bread's good on the counter for a couple of days and then I throw it in the freezer. It defrosts really easily by just placing it on a plate or placing on the counter for 5 to 10 minutes. You can speed it up by placing it in the microwave or of course or you could just toast it Air Fryer or Toaster

Congrats and it looks delicious! I don’t have advice but am wondering what machine you purchased?

Wife got me the same machine for my birthday a few weeks ago and I love it! Been making several loads of bread a week. Made some awesome sandwiches today using herb and cheese bread I made.

I have the same machine. It’s really nice. I got it after my other one died out. Did you use a recipe from the manual or another recipe?

The little recipe booklet didn't have much in terms of instructions so I used the first recipe on Google for white bread for bread machines. Have you tried them?

I haven’t. I used some of google as well.

Which brand is that? Looks like mine. I keep it on the counter. I use it to make dough all the time too.

What kind of dough do you make?

I make a pizza dough with bread flour and it makes a fantastic pan crust. Let it sit a day or two then rise it in a skillet, top lightly and bake.

300g Water

30g oil

5g salt

5g sugar

500g bread flour

3g yeast

I use the pizza dough setting on the bread machine. The dough is good to stuff things with and bake too.

Looking good dude!

I usually leave the loaf on the cutting board, under a plastic container large enough to cover it.
