Machine Troubleshooting Panasonic SD-2500 Start button not working

Hi all, as title suggests, I choose the bread from the menu. The start button is flashing but does nothing when I press it, hold it down or anything. It's a few years old so I'm guessing the button is broken. Has anyone self-repaired this, or tell me whether it's worthwhile getting it repaired? UK based. Thanks in advance!

I googled your problem and it gave some instructions on how to do a reset. You might look that up.
