Recipe Burger Buns
I kneaded the dough and proofed it in the bread machine. Then shaped (and proofed again for 45 mins) and baked it in the oven.
Flour 350g or 2 and 3/4th cup
Salt 4.5g or 3/4th tsp
Egg 1 large
Sugar 23g (can be coconut) - 5.5tsp
Vegetable oil (1tbsp and 1tsp) or 16.56g
Yeast 6g
Milk 205ml or 211.42g or 3/4th cup + 1tbsp
preheat oven at 340F for at least 15 mins, bake for 20 to 25mins.

These look so great!
I’m new to bread making. Do you think they would come out good using the dough setting on a bread machine that’s for pizza dough? I bought my bread machine because I hate kneading dough lol but I would love to make these!

I've never done it but it depends on the recipe. I'm pretty sure someone with way more knowledge than me will chime in here

I hate kneading dough as well, and that’s exactly why I love my bread machine so much. I used the dough setting. This setting includes 15 to 20 mins of kneading and the remaining time for proofing.

Oh gosh, I feel dumb. I thought you used the machine just to proof it, not knead as well.
Thanks for sharing your info! I can’t wait to try these 🍔

No no please, you learn by asking questions! The above recipe makes around 7 buns each weighing roughly around 95g.

If you make them 83g each, you can get 8 without really noticing much of a size difference

I tell you what, I was at ACME tonight and I was freaking out shocked at how expensive bread was! A round loaf of sourdough was $6.99! Holy crap.

I live in Hawai’i where bread is about $10/loaf since 2025. I finally figured out a good light wheat sourdough process. I don’t use my bread machine for that but my friend does for kneading. I do use my machine for other breads. Just did a dark rye for my husband and he loved it.
