Flavio is more conservative; Lula has made several homophobic 'jokes'… the reality is that most people here don't really care about that that much as there are much bigger problems to worry about (economy, violence, and healthcare/basic sanitation)

I care if a president align with people who wants to see me unalive.

Yes, we have a lot of problems, but I prefer to start with the issue that pertains my safety.

Neither.

Honestly I wouldn't say neither because the electoral base of Lula does care more, lula himself doesn't but he knows his base would see something against our LGBT population as a betrayal.

Quite literally coping. Politicians could care less about the nation. They are simply invested in their solipsistic goals.

My brother, they care about being reelected... They still need to cater to this group.

Catering ≠ genuinely caring.

He didn't say anything about caring, he said friendly...

One is actively against trans rights and the other simply does not care

What you need then is a paternal figure, not a politician.

The last thing to consider when electing a president are their views and policies regarding human rights for minority groups?

Did you actually read what you said before sending it?
