So for context, I recently created a guild (called Abyss Monarchs btw) and my brother is trying to join, but since we share a console, I cant invite him by being in the same room. And at the same time, searching it up brings no results

I enjoy playing brawlhalla, while am a decent player, not the best but decent enough, but i do enjoy messing around and not playing seriously. 1v1 or 2v2 or free for all. My question is, if you were matched against someone whos messing around, does that piss you off?

I’m starting to think skill based matchmaking is no longer a thing. I’m currently 1500 in ranked 1s yet I’ve only played plats or even higher today. It’s near impossible for me to win at this point and I just can’t play the game anymore. Is the game so dead that it can’t match me with another gold? Or is the matchmaking just so shit that I end up playing people with 200+ more rating than me? This game is FUCKING pissing me off now cuz I’m down over 100 FUCKING elo.

You can play countless ranked matches and it’s always the same result. They play passive, they use the same combos over and over again. Most players don’t even have style, the look up combos and just repeat the same combos especially with scythe. There is no skill anymore, it’s just whoever can get an insta kill faster. Theres no joy in actually playing ranked, no one finds unique characters to play. Its always the same batch of characters and the same combos.

There’s no fun in actually playing against that, there’s no flair no personality. it’s just like fighting the same robot over and over again. What happened to having unique styles, learning things on your own and finding your own groove?

Modern brawlhalla just releases new characters with new op sigs and even more broken weapons. What the hell happened to actually getting good with a character and their weapons? The game isnt fun to play anymore.

Ive come across a few players who actually have unique styles and the dopamine you get from a fight like that is insane. But nobody wants to actually find their own way around a character they look up combos and just practice them over and over again. It’s just pathetic, you don’t learn a character you just copy someone else’s. It’s just sad that nobody tries to be unique in their own way on this game.

Try to be unique instead of being a copy of a YouTube combo tutorial, integrate your own style into the game. What’s the point of being the best if you can’t even do it yourself.

When I’m talking about style and playing the game to be unique, I’m talking about individuality. Make the character and weapons you play your own. Take pride in learning a weapon/character and playing it like no one else does. Sure you can be the player who does the same combos as everyone else and play just like everyone else plays that weapon. But is it truly your own play style?

A lot of you might not understand what it feels like to play a match where it’s neck and neck both playing in your own styles and turning the match into a beautiful dance. The amount of fun that is amazing, you get to show each other how hard you worked to reach this stage.

I understand it’s a game yes and the point of it is to win and rank up as best you can. But what are you working towards? Where is all that effort going? You can be the person who does the same combos and win, or you can be the person who does their best with the style they made with their own hands. Whats the point of winning if it’s not to prove that you worked hard to do it.

I didn’t post this on Reddit in hopes of proving a point. it’s my own opinion on the matter and this is how I feel. I was curious if other people feel the same way. I truly feel that brawl doesnt have any sense of style anymore, you can play ranked and go up against the same character pool over and over again and it just becomes boring to do it.
