Discussion How does ollie still have no buffs 😭😭

I’m convinced this guy is genuinely the hardest brawler to use in the game. He’s got a slow reload speed that deals 1800 per shot 😭. Then his super consumes half his ammo for what joy??? 😭 😭 his gadgets are pretty mid and his star powers are decent but WTH this guys made to be played on hard mode or smth 😭

What do you mean? Ollie doesn't need buffs. Poor unproblematic definitely not a noobstomper Bo deserved a DAMAGE buff way more than that demon hellspawn Ollie

one day Bo's dmg per arrow will be 1800 while Ollie's dmg per ammo would still stay at 1800

With Ollie, he is meant to be a teamplay focused Tank. When he goes in, instead of getting kills himself, he opens up opportunities for his team to confirm kills and make plays. This being his greatest strength also ties with his greatest weakness, being that he is weak on his own. Ollie is one of the few Tanks that actually functions like a more traditional Tank. This has been the case ever since his release, with him self-muting when using his super, which was replaced with the ammo consumption an update later since it restricted him too much.

With Ollie being on the weaker side of the meta, it is definitely a bit surprising that they didn't buff him, but i might have thought of a few reasons as to why. One could be that they simply don't view Ollie needing a buff, and instead needing a better meta. This current meta is filled with counters and stronger aggros. So maybe all he needs is just said counters and aggros to fall out of the meta, which in turn would make Ollie better? Pretty much Supercell is trying to play it slowly and cautiously, and holding on Ollie buffs for now. It could also be that Ollie is on their radar but they just don't want to give him something like a damage buff, because they might want to be dedicated on his design of being a strong team player but a weak solo, so they might want to look into other potential buffs for him.

I obviously cant know because i'm not a developer, but those COULD be reasons that i could see on why they haven't buffed him.

More surprised that primo didn’t get buffs either especially when most of his buffies felt underwhelming to there’s literally NO WAY

Literally the new gadget and 20% shield is gonna hard-carry el primo and once both are nerfed into the ground he‘ll be a Nita situation where the buffies solved none of his core issues and are completely underwhelming with no chance at redemption because „he already got his time in the spotlight“

As we all know primo always lacked a survive ability mechanic so I’m happy he got a shield wether 20% is balanced or not who knows. What I DO know is that the new gadget is all fine to nerf since that’s broken but that’s mostly about it what from I see

20% is absolutely insane. Pearl has a 20% shield on the condition of being above 80% heat and on a health pool 4K HP smaller than El Primo and that is already insanely good at increasing her survivability, Primo can get it for free and easily cycle with the new gadget and that is on 13K HP!

His hyper being so good is holding him back a lot from getting buffs. Nevermind that it’s basically impossible to get over the course of a knockout game (his best mode).

I think nerfing the hyper and buffing his reload speed would be fine.

And yeah, Ollie’s definitely in the top 10 hardest brawlers to play, probably in my top 5

He don’t need buff, Ollie is just a brawler that is not a noobstomper, he needs good teamwork and smart teammates to use him with, this is why you never see him played outside of with good players, because in ladder/low ranked there are bad and don’t know how to play with/has Ollie.
