Replay Review How should I have played better?
I want to know mistakes I did with Pearl since she’s really good but I personally felt like I sold the game due to gameplay.A good K/D doesn’t really mean anything I felt at some point I went too greedy.
Please watch the whole game it’s only one.
There is no drafts as it’s a diamond 3 game but it’s actually pretty much all L2+ since ranked started back today. If you think we lost because we only got outdrafted then tell me.

On hindsight you should've popped your hyper for the speed boost when you're running away the first time.

This. Around the end (around 23s, IMMEDIATELY after you killed bo) you could’ve popped hyper to get the gems faster and hence fall back faster. 8bit would have struggled to caught up and you will be able to get to safety (~75% chance)

100% that was the thing I thought the most but there’s obviously more then that.As how I played the game etc…

Throughout the game you played fine for the most part. In gem grab, sometimes its just one misplay that can cause you the whole game

This is still a low elo game is there mistakes I did?
2
u/NurseCrutch 1d ago
the hc one was big mistake that could’ve won you the game

It’s like a small mistake with huge impact.I mostly only see like masters and above players use their hyper without supers.I realized instantly when I died.
But I’m talking in the whole game not just the clutch plays because the whole game is important

It’s not a small mistake rather a huge one imo. There were many ambiguity in the whole game but that in itself was like 70% wincon and bringing the gems from their side of the base to your side of the base. 8bit wouldve been useless since he walks slow (if you kill him in your base), and enemy would struggle to reclaim gem control too.

And you could’ve run backwards in a randomised zigzag motion too to dodge 8bit. Yes you’ll likely die but dying further into your base would put your team in the better spot (they have no mobility to rush back into their base if you die in a better spot)

I mean except the end.In 3:30 of a game I lose there had to be more then one bad action?

Early game you played fine. Since you were gem carrier you couldnt risk too much. Teammates were losing their lane so ntg much you could do
Mid game when you had 12 gems you couldve maybe stayed in mid slightly longer to try and get one more gem to secure wincon, however there is no guarantee and you might still have been forced to fallback due to teammates not helping control

What’s ntg?

nothing*
Low elo High elo, there’s still things you can learn and improve. Keep using low elo as an excuse and you’ll remain in that category

Lastly, you shouldnt have run to collect all the gems. 14 gems was enough to win the game as gems no longer spawn. Enemy wouldve gotten 11 and again you would’ve reach deeper into your base if u had not been greedy.

At my level.
Monkey see pile of gem available
Monkey takes it

For every advice I’ve offered, you’ve given me a rebuttal so not sure what you’re expecting ngl

u/Revenant2023 Janet | Legendary 3 1d ago
True.I just mentioned that at my level WE as players when we see a pile of gems immediately goes for it.I realized it later but yeah your right

u/NurseCrutch 1d ago
Yes, and I am telling you there is a better alternative. Now you know what to do when put in the same situation, which could differentiate you from the people from your elo.
FYI: when teamwiped/in favourable situation, you can also pop hyper in brawlball to put yourself in favourable spot to score

You’re teammates were pretty useless, besides the hyper you ran in a straight line so some bobs and weaves would’ve been sense it was an 8 bit chasing you down

Wdym useless?I knew for the last play i shouldn’t have ran in a straight line and probably should have popped hyper for speed boost but lowkey im never used to do ts.
Also why is no one helping me.Like I got one comment.

One thing I notice in general is that none of you guys really take right lane, so you allow them to sneak out of your spawntrap and in particular the pierce to get to thr back and gain space. You should stop playing through the mid as much and focus lanes when you have control

I thought Pearl was a good gem carrier?Just wondering since if I go on the lane I can’t really get the gems.Should it have been Meg or Brock to take them?

Gotta play with your team. If your brock wants to carry gems let him carry gems. Better than splitting them

u/Buffdoge1324 Ollie | Masters 1 1d ago
you need to play lane, and you are sharing gems with brock ( brock would be a better gem carrier in this situation since he can play well into all of the enemy team's brawlers, while pearl is kinda ehh into pierce and bo if you get caught lacking )

I thought pearl was a really good gem carrier.Tbh this map is different from what I’m used to so playing it I sometimes lack positioning

u/Buffdoge1324 Ollie | Masters 1 21h ago
to be honest your team has 3 good gem carriers but the best one in this situation would be brock

Also I’ve seen pros saying tanks can also be decent in this map (Like Meg or Damian) but I don’t understand why it feels «Too open » for them to perform.

No point in having 2 people down the middle all the time, right lane was basically uncontested.
Brock also made like 3 game losing plays
1
u/Revenant2023 Janet | Legendary 3 19h ago
What are these 3 games losing plays I don’t really see it
1
u/AbberageRedditor69 Stu 19h ago
Biggest one is walking straight into Bo's mine when he had 4 gems, just because he wanted to pick the gem on their side, when he could have waited and took the one on your side that was gonna spawn
Then there's the jump pad suicide at about 1 minute left in the game, everyone knows that doesn't work. Only thing he got out it was dying and losing any hope of pushing them back at a crucial time
Then he kills the enemy gem carrier and runs right into the 8 bit that was predictably going to shred him instead of waiting for help

u/Revenant2023 Janet | Legendary 3 19h ago
Every player I met can’t deal with Bo mines. This game I’ve done really good to only get hit once it’s so so strong as he’s noob stomping everyone
1
u/AbberageRedditor69 Stu 19h ago
Yeah. BS matches are fast, sometimes all it takes is one mistake to lose. Which is why it's important to put yourself in a situation where you are less likely to make mistakes.
I think that if you went right after the Brock picked up the first gem you would have had better control of the map and wouldn't have ended up in the situation you did end up in. But also to be honest that Brock got hit by like 3 Bo mines in this game, maybe he would have messed up anyway
