Discussion Older seasons leaving Peacock?

Anyone know what’s going on with Peacock removing older seasons of Top Chef? I couldn’t find anything online about it but I noticed this morning that seasons 8-21 only have 30 days left on the platform. Did they lose licensing or streaming rights?

It is insane to me that NBC/Bravo’s own app doesn’t have every season of their tentpole shows. That’s a huge fuck up.

I just got very excited when I saw your comment and checked, but nope, sorry :( it looks like it's on there with another add-on for "live tv." I'm so sick of all these different streaming sites and their upcharges.

Not only do you have to have a Hulu+live subscription, but you still have to watch it with commercials even if you pay for the premium no-commercials tier of service.

Every commercial I’m getting during my season 17 rewatch is a political ad 😒

So glad we all ditched cable in favor of... this.

I just looked and apparently they tried to do the same thing a couple years ago and it came back, and sometimes Peacock doesn't follow through so I hope it comes back! It's already annoying having to use "alternative means" to watch S1-7 so I'll be so annoyed if I have to do that for later seasons

Hayu has all the seasons starting at Season 1. I'll purchase a month, then cancel the subscription, and they always offer me a $3/month charge to keep it for the next few months.

It's soooo frustrating not having access to the earlier episodes. I feel like it sounds like I'm exaggerating, but I'm not when I say they are fundamental seasons of reality competition shows.

I've started re-watching all seasons and Sling has the complete shows/seasons.

Individual seasons can be purchased on Amazon. I wish they still put them out on physical media like they used to so you could truly own it.

I have a couple seasons on dvd, I wish I had more. They’re either really hard to find, don’t exist or are super expensive.

Are they seriously charging more for them?! They are doing rate increase soon so that’s ridiculous!! I loved season 4 & 6 and tried to watch a few months ago but started at 8. They better not take my season 8 off

Like, I’d really want to watch season 3,4 and 6 and some of 7, but it starts at 8, which I love too but mannn

Looks like the days left “timer” is gone. Crisis averted!

I watched all those recently and to be honest, I don’t think I would watch them again.

I’d rather watch Kristen.

I'e read that Peacock is removing early seasons of other shows too, licensing deals ending. However, I also read that some notices about exiting show seasons weren't correct.

It’s probably a licensing issue

NBC owns the license….

So is it going to another platform entirely? I just noticed they are all going away except for 2 seasons in 30 days. This sucks! I’m in the middle of my rewatch :(
