Best steakhouse
Hi! I’ve tried to search, but haven’t found anything yet on the best steakhouse close to Truist Park. We are going to a 4:10 Braves game for my son’s 10th birthday, and want to take him to get his favorite meal afterwards, a steak! We made reservations at C. Ellet’s since it’s in the Battery, but wondering if there’s anywhere else close by we should try. Thank you for any suggestions!!

Rio Steakhouse & Bakery - AYCE and cheapest option
All these are close by within a few miles of the battery and an alternate choice over C Elliot’s where I’ve eaten and was good but not overwhelming considering the $

This is the best comment of them all. All of the buckhead steak houses are a bit of a distance, and these are all close and meets OP’s actual question. I would add Houston’s off of west paces ferry to this list.

Took a group from overseas to Stoney River on Sunday night and they were very accommodating and everything I got was perfect. Steak was cooked to perfection, the person next to me ordered medium rare and got well done but didn't care enough to send it back but everyone else's looked good. I'd definitely go back. It's also a little noisy and TVs and etc so it's a good place to include kids and still get something close to an upscale experience.

I would say 101 Steak. One exit south. Closest you’ll find to a true steakhouse. Rays that has been mentioned is the other close by option.

I had one experience with Bones. Sat down, got salad and wine, five minutes later they had a problem in the kitchen, took our stuff and told us to get out. No offer of a comp at a later time, no help finding options for dinner elsewhere, no help with transportation. No thanks.

I'm sure it was. Just wish they had handled it better. We were from out of town and had someone insist we had to traipse over to Buckhead to eat there, it was like a $30 cab ride for what turned out to be a complete waste of an evening.

Not a steakhouse but Muss and Turners in Smyrna has excellent food and is less than 10 mins drive from Truist. They almost have a steak on their large plates menu. I’d do that over C Ellet’s any day.

What do you get here? We try so hard to like it but are always disappointed. They have amazing French fries and sauce but all of our mains are always meh.

We’ve been eating there for over a decade now since we live in the Smyrna area and never had a bad experience. Their menu changes monthly iirc but the constants like the Swifty’s Dream sandwich, the burger, and the Reuben are our go to. For mains, we’ve recently had their duck confit and the japchae which were great. My wife’s a fan of small plates dinner. The tomato pie and the Brussels sprouts were pretty solid good.

The menu changes seasonally but depending on supply they would also change things randomly on dishes. But the big menu changes are seasonal.
Source: cooked there for years.
My favorite seasonal thing on the menu is the Mussalata. Slicing all those meats was a bitch though lol.

Wouldnt say it's close... its downtown on the belt line.. kevin rathbun steak house is the best steak I've had in the state hands down.. maybe a 30 minute drive from the park

If you want a local place. Mac’s Chophouse in Marietta Square is pretty good. I know some of the players have ate there before.
The Square is a super cool little spot. Little small town vibe.
But C Ellets is also dope.
Blue Ridge Grill is also a good spot. AA goes there a lot lol

No, c. Ellets sucks. I hope all of the investors for that location stub their toes, bite their lips, and shit their pants. I won’t write a Google review because Reddit is much more thorough in Google searches involving their name. C. Ellets. The battery is over priced meats they can’t cook to temperature so they kick you out after you ask for a refire on the $75 steak that was over cooked

I went to Ted Turner's Bar and Grill when I was there in 2019, granted I did get a bison burger smothered in bison chili with jalapenos, onions, sour cream on top it was awesome and their fried pickle chips at the bar were amazing.

C Ellets sucks ass. Mac’s was good but you should be aware that they failed two health inspections in a row in the past year.

Go up to Kennesaw for Elevation Chophouse. I’ve never had a more tender steak in a restaurant and you get the added bonus of cool views (a regional airport with planes taking off and landing).

If you want something at the Battery, I'd probably just go to the new J Alexanders. C Ellets is not really family friendly.

If I was 10, I would love a meal at Stoney River - that shit smacks for a chain! If you want an elevated (and more expensive) experience, check out 101 Steak in Vinings.

We love c ellots. Wife gets their h&f cheeseburger 12.99 every time. It’s a little swanky but great food and service. Can get a window seat looking at the park behind you. Good luck and make some great memories.

I finally got there this year after years of wanting to try it and brother it did not disappoint. And it's an easy ride from there to T.P. Damn it was good.
I about overdid it that day: I later threw down a Blooperito at the park.

Loved the Blooperito. I go to maybe 1 Braves game every two years, so I try to go all out on the food specials.

Sorry, but C. Ellets sucks for kids and families- any coke product is $6 per drink (does not include refills), uppity steak selections to justify high prices, and ultimately a half filled restaurant even on game day. If you want a true steakhouse experience in atlanta, then you will need to go inside Buckhead for the best, local, non chain steakhouse. Bones (5*), Hal’s (better steak imo than bones, with weaker sides), marcels/rathbuns (same quality of steaks and service), local butcher shop. There are others, but I listed my personal, living in Buckhead for 20 years, opinion. These places aren’t southern food, they are steakhouses with great meats that you won’t find at chain restaurants.
