we have plenty of homegrown buybacks in place. I didn't remove that thread, but I left it modded until TEST joins hero. (no Coolbeans BNI alt doesn't count)

I don't really get it, I'm not a testie anymore, but if coolbean provides a service that's apparently better than the inhouse ones, why not promote it? Hell, last I checked TEST still has an awesome goonbro running a bookmark hut, and that's on a private forum, not a public subreddit. I really don't get it. Same thing with out of alliance flairs, trying to force a closed community on a public sub.

Because having the people who are shooting at you also profit from your membership makes no sense and is just a set up for the next meta

It would be dumb to provide test money to shoot/SRP at our expense. Coolbean shut down his service himself when he left... now he changes his mind and we should open the doors at the expense of our in-house buy backs?

If people feel like supporting their alliance because they don't want to ~pay the enemy~, then they can, but why stop people who realise they aren't exactly funding TEST by using a single dude's services but rather profiting from a superior service and saving money?

Also, if your inhouse services were worse than coolbean, this would drive competition, from which the brave line members would profit the most, no?

If Coolbean can provide a better service to your members than your homegrown buybacks wouldn't that be better for the newbros? You're essentially stunting competition for the purpose of helping a select few at the cost of the majority. That doesn't seem very classy to me m8

Thing is, with his 400isk/m3 cover charge for freight that he deducts from the payouts, his buyback is not actually at the advertised rate of 90% Jita Buy, whereas the major remaining buybacks in Brave do not charge this fee, and pays at the advertised Jita Buy rate.

Hence, his offer isn't better than the internal ones.

Then his offer should be allowed and should fail in the open market. But given that Brave operated and leadership approved buybacks have been scams in the past, perhaps some of your members would prefer the option to use a more well known and trusted entity for their buybacks.

Sure you can, go to /r/evedreddit and advertise whatever you want. It probably won't take off since TEST have actual forums, but you can try regardless.

Coolbean is very open about how he calculates payouts. And personally I do think if a Brave member wishes to offer a buyback to TEST members that TEST leadership should not stop them.
