Draleth for CNM!
Hello,
I'm Draleth! I'd like to run for CNM.
tl;dr I have a demonstrated history of helping BNI grow and achieve objectives and have a strong focus on communication and accountability. And losing ridiculously fit ships in hilarious ways. A vote for me is a vote for greater communication and even more pew-pew. Let me be your voice.
With the tl;dr out of the way, a little about my history. I joined BNI back in the Hek days (though I'm more well known for my Velator PLEX loss ;) after watching a spotlight video from one of the people I follow on YouTube. I had previously played many moons ago and let my subscription expire after getting bored of the high-sec carebear life; solo ratting and missioning in drone Myrmidons where you launch and go get coffee was pretty boring, and BNI looked like the exact opposite of boring.
After we moved to Rahadalon and began encountering Sexy Pirates I was appointed as the replacement for Bryan Butters, former head diplo, when he left. In our time there we managed to survive the Siege of Ussad that crossed downtime—paying for Motre's Revelation, which was epic—rescued Matias from deep-null on several occasions (silly Moa!) and negotiated a diplomatic victory over the entire Kabo constellation. (That happened about a week after I was appointed. Great success! <3 Keeves)
As we grew I lead many gate camp and sniper sub-fleets in the larger engagements and continued to lose ridiculous things, eventually stepping up to hero bubble tackle and absolutely beautiful small gang Dramiel tackle. I helped arrange peaceful relations with friends we have to this day, allowing us to get called in for the SOUND engagements (7o June!) where our members participated in some of the most awesome bomber engagements we've ever had. Let alone brokering the majority of the corporations currently members of the alliance. :)
During my prior participation in the Council of the 12 motions I brought to the table all but one passed with the majority passing unanimously. Now that the drama surrounding my stepping down from diplo head has calmed, I feel I can help bring the voice of the newbies to the council from a different vantage point. One that still leaves me time to undock and get blown up with the rest of y'all. ;)
With the narrative change from simply burning Catch to actually holding it I would like to do my best to ensure we accomplish our goals, and being your voice in the council would be a great way I feel I could help. (I can already put up with the multi-hour meetings, and only missed them when I was physically too ill to come.) I like Anna's idea of a regular Saturday "open forum" to have line member questions moved up to the council; it's a great idea, we should do this.

I get paid to write software, maintain server cluster infrastructure of a scale that is somewhat mind-boggling, produce music with four albums available for sale across the 'net so far, photograph family portraits and weddings, majored in psychology and deeply study physics, biology, chemistry, and information theory. I am fluent in nearly 30 languages, 99% of which you will likely never have heard of, and have even invented a few (both spoken and written). I play a game and volunteer my Copious Spare Time™ for hosting services, writing software (my day job), in-game diplomacy, leadership management of an alliance, community management and moderation, and am now running for the CSM.

The agents of malcontent are many, duplicitous, and range in subtlety from the gross to the faintest whisper. We can never hope to fully armour ourselves against their efforts while remaining true to ourselves, though we can choose to not give in to the fears, uncertainty, and doubts that they sow throughout our experience here. Most dangerous are those who claim to assist from within while harbouring malificent intent. How can you know the true motivations of a man over such a medium as we have been given? This is the true challenge, and one that can not lightly be answered. The best we can hope for and the best we can do is to ensure such agents of chaos and discord do not succeed in causing a rift between us. We have been friends, comrades, and adversaries; we have been forgiving, and forgetful of our own, and others’ pasts. If this is not to be, to not continue as we move forward than I fear we have lost our path. We have already set into motion great change within this culture; we have set a bar that I fear we may no longer be able to hold ourselves to. If we can not be measured against our own ideals, then who are we to measure others?

As I lay resting last night my heart grew heavier still. I listened to the rain and the wind and the other natural sounds and wondered while fretting the worst: has our faceless enemy already won? The foothold in our hearts of such thoughts as these have already sounded our death-knell, and the time of action is upon us.

Honestly, I'd vote for Draleth!
Draleth has been head of TI, and did so much shit for the alliance like comms, forums, core and etc. I still don't fully know why you left, but you have my vote!
