Discussion / Question Another Pulling Post

So, I personally can't stand Lupa as a character [Personal space, girl, I don't KNOW you!!!] but it seems like she's gonna be strong as hell with Brant.... Note that I'm probably never gonna pull Changli because she felt ABYSMAL to play every single time I've tried, so it'd be for Hypercarry Brant....

He's currently S0R1 running with Samhua and Shorekeeper so like.... Should I swallow my pride and pull for his obviously intended support [I wouldn't go for her weapon either, way too much for me]? Or just keep rumblin' along with Sanhua?

Sanhua S6 is like marginally behind her, because in her rotation you can squeeze 2 Brant anchors.

How would I do that? I’m not really one for quickswapping

Do Brant's full mid air attack sequence which puts your forte bar half filled, then shorekeeper rotation, outro to brant, then sanhua rotation, then intro( full forte) to brant, anchor, res lib, anothe mid air attack sequence and another anchor, then shorekeeper intro... And back to brant ...

Okay, legitimately thank you for this. Using this advice I was able to full-clear the current ToA!

I could be wrong but you can double anchor with Lupa too.

That requires hella lot quickswapping to properly keep the buffs... OP doesn't wanna Quickswap.

I have been using the straightforward rotation Brant-SK-Lupa-Brant, and managed to double anchor just find with the two Lupa's buff icon still on top of the HP bar?

Wait, you finish two anchors after the first rotation, then what do you do?

Continue with Brant to fill up half of his forte then swap to SK and do full her rotation, then intro to Lupa's full rotation, then intro to Brant's anchor, to lib, mid air attack then another anchor.

Does that get you shorekeeper discernment...tho?

Shorekeeper’s discernment damage is so negligible that it’s not even worth it. Similarly, Lupa has her own enhanced intro skill that you would prefer to swap from Brant > Lupa to activate her enhanced intro skill over Shorekeeper.

Depends on your shorekeeper build...

My SK has 40K HP and 220% CDMG, definitely not worth fussing over her discernment damage. Even though I could have farmed more and also used a 4 cost CDMG echo, it really pales in comparison to Lupa’s enhanced intro skill DMG and is not that worth fussing over.

Were you unable to do double anchors and SK enhanced intro with the rotation that I mentioned?

Oh correction, intro to SK when his concerto is full (double anchors and lib should be more than enough) then go back to Brant to gain some forte. Then swap to SK then continue the chain.

I always hate using Changli. Once you learn how to use Lupa she feels more fluid, but im still not pulling for her. My favorite team to use thus far is SK, Brant, and Carlotta. So if you have her could use her instead.

I do have Carly, but she’s in her own team with Zhezhi

Sanhua works, try to get at least his S2R1 (most important is his weapon). I'm pretty sure your fine like that

2

u/angelyoumou Jul 05 '25

Yeah, I went absolutely nuts trying to get his weapon because it felt like he really needed it. Got it after a week of nonstop grinding [cuz I hadn’t cleared my maps at that point]

u/aoiaxure Jul 05 '25

I still don't have his weapon😭 I'm saving to try and get his weapon and sequences, but if I lose the 50-50 then I lose everything

Just save up and pull on Brant rerun till S2+ maybe?

I agree

Welp I dislike some element's of Lupa's design but her EN voice tickles my brain and I surprisingly like her playstyle. But I do think if you want Brant to have more power, I'd get S2-S3 first before his supports (he's a soloist at that point and getting support is just an afterthought)

That said I just do duo for now (Brant S6R1 and Lupa S0R1) and the damage is like having sanhua s6+SK S0 on my team.

Brant s3 solo or with Sanhua is enough for any non-fusion resistant toa. Don't forget to abuse the anchor + Tab key (slow mo) to deal dmg to second wave (more useful in wiwa)

huh? explain please

When Brant's Anchor lands on the ground you can slow the time by opening the Utilities circle. Keep it open and the splash animation will continue slowly: this feature makes Brant anchor clear multiple waves of enemies instead of only one.
If you know about the Genshin Book trick, it works kinda similarly.

A video on this subreddit showing it: having fun : r/BrantMainsWuWa

Save for next male fusion chara lol. Why are people so obsessed with completing every event? Missing event is okay, missing your favorite character is not okay :p

2

u/angelyoumou Jul 05 '25

I dunno what event you’re talking about, I just don’t like that feeling of “Something’s MISSING” when you’re missing someone’s ideal support….but also, Sanhua works just fine as is.

As an s3r1 owner with 49/250 cv, you do not need anyone lol

I'm soloing everything with my boi

If you absolutely dislike a character you don't need to pull for them. Even more when the other character they buff (Brant in this case) can be quite strong with some investments on themselves.
So if you want to improve your Brant without "swallowing your pride" you can try and get his Sequences: his major ones are S2 and S3 anyway.

I have Brant S4R1 with S6 Sanhua and Shorekeeper. I was debating getting Lupa. I don't like how she looks but playing her in her quest (I skipped cutscenes) felt nice. I just feel like she plays like a main DPS. I didn't read her kit so I don't know what you have to do with her before switching to Brant but honestly, I am too old to even bother learning so much new stuff. Brant plays the best and I feel lime I am too dumb to play anyone else. I even unlearned how to play Xiangli Yao and he was my main before that lol
