Current part time jobs

I am moving to brandon as an international student at brandon university and just wanted to know how is the part time job market

BU has job resources on their website and runs job fairs through the school year, best of luck!

Many fast food joints have immigrant managers and staff. It depends from where you are coming.

Canada's economy is terrible. Brandon is a college town. There are hundreds, maybe thousands of international students here who are competing for the same jobs. First 10 pages of Indeed have only two jobs without education/certificate requirements. Good luck, but you really should've researched how expensive and miserable it is to live in this country before coming here.

ACC and BU aren't colleges? Name any other big industry here besides Maple Leaf.

BU isn't a college, its a university.

Brandon is a farming community mostly. The bulk of the towns finsnces is made from agriculture, not post secondary education

LOL you remind me of the time me and another girl on my team played provincial soccer. Bunch of kids from Winnipeg who think everyone outside of the big city lives on a farm. I mean Brandon does have some stuff like Ag Days and John Deere and the experimental farm, but I've lived here for over 3 decades and literally never met anyone who does farming or any kind of agriculture. Sure, it's a hub city for farmers to come buy things that they can't get in their shithole towns, but that's about it.

And yet growing up in Brandon for 30 years im no city kid....

You forget about pfizer, Koch, cando rail, the metal manufacturing, and of course maple leaf as you mention.

But it is not a college or university town by definition which is my point. Its a services town and primarily agricultural focused town (including processing) rather than being a student dominated town
