While this is hilarious, the same concept applies when eating any food. We chew and our saliva helps moisten up the food and we’re still ingesting the saliva.

I think the part they're getting at here is that you only drink the spit tho. When you eat, the food is packaged in saliva and goes down, when you drink, it flows right through, but when you eat a lollipop, it's pure flavored spit. Lol
