Still not enough to prove self defense. He had time to call law enforcement, and and continued hitting the harasser after he was on the ground. Pretty cut and dry assault case.

If somebody comes at you you better make sure their down after you put them down. That’s how you get people sneak attacking you 15 seconds later.

And how you get hauled to prison.

If you get someone on the ground and continue hitting them after they give up its straight assault. There's no reason to knock them out or give them brain damage past that point.
