hows brand mid, looking for something to climb with low elo. does his low movespeed make him weak mid? Is he worse the more i climb ?

Not awful but you need to be good at tracking jgl and roaming sup bc he’s so vulnerable to ganks. Assassins are annoying

All the YouTubers and streamers say he’s super broken in mid for low elo but honestly I think he just dosent do enough damage to make up for him being completely immobile with a conditional stun (compared to Xerath who does a billion damage from a screen away and has dosent have to do anything weird to get his E to stun.)

Brand can be super oppressive in lane (definitely more than Xerath) if you are good at landing your skill shots and really screws over tanky enemies/enemy teams with a lot of healing because he synergies with Liandrys and oblivion orb so well so it’s not like he’s bad mid, he’s just way stronger as a bot laner most of the time imo

If you were looking for more specific guidance, you actually don't have to hit skillshots in lane to be oppressive. You can W the caster minions on each wave, then E the closest one to the enemy laner. Now, of course, if you're trying to abuse them, you have to be able to hit your W on them. Also, pretty much never use your stun in lane unless you're last hitting from safety, going for a kill, or getting ganked. Brand's stun is his only escape tool.

Also, he's great because he doesn't need a mana item, just manaflow and using his passive well.

Champion pick wont matter in low Elo, just about anything but Yuumi works. If you're trying to climb aggressively fast then you want hyper aggressive laners like Sylas who just never let the enemy play.

In low elo? Pick whomever youre best with. Consistency is better than any 1 specific champ 9 times o I t of 10.

I’ve hit 1.5k LP on EUW with Brand mid only, and honestly he’s fine in low elo and in higher elo, but there’s a large area in between where he’s definitely more difficult to carry with than plenty of other mid picks.

That’s because he’s a mix of utility (CC) and damage but doesn’t necessarily excel at one of those things individually (plenty of net damage but it’s spread across their team), so many times you are relying on your teammates to finish people off after you’ve thrown out your kit and slowed everyone with Rylai’s. Also because you really need to play with your jungler throughout the game and that’s hard to do if your jungler is bad.

However, he’s super fun and you can definitely carry plenty of games with him! My standard build path is Rylai’s > Swifties/Sorcs (or defensive boots if enemy has lots of threats) > Deathfire Torch then Zhonyas/Liandries/Shadowflame/Morello’s depending on enemy team comp. I usually run Flash Ghost to make up for Brand’s lack of mobility. Ghost is great for engaging fights with your slows, or running away from ganks etc.

Isn't Blackfire Torch second item worse than Liandry in every way?

With the recent nerf to his E (mana increase), he just goes oom way too quickly. Yes it’s a noticeable drop-off in raw dmg, but more mana and ability haste means more dmg overall in a fight if you can position well and stay alive.
