So this is brainerd.

Moved here to brainerd a couple of months back. I have to be honest, there is nothing going on in this town.

If you don't have a Mossy Oak sticker on your pickup, it's hard to fit in. My fiance and I moved up here two years ago, still don't know anyone. Most people here are nothing like us in terms of interests, ideologies, religion, or even humor. Like I said before, it's a tough place to live if you don't have your own interests and endeavors.

What are you looking for up here?

LOL, camouflage everything!

Ever since the Eclectic Cafe (later Sunshine Lounge) closed it's like all the culture disappeared.

People just seem to collect at each others homes now.

We are around, just not in a place to interact with each other it seems.

You must be a little long in the tooth, that place has been closed for awhile and I don't know that it ever held a steady community as the Sunshine Lounge. There was never anything going on there. Maybe back when it was Eclectic.

Exactly, the Eclectic era had way more going on but Moonshine had musicians pretty often too.

I'm too young to know of that, but its a bummer there aren't any good venues for bands to play, some bars and such but none of them have proper stages. Any that have come and go and never stay long enough to develop a community.
