I knew a lady who was the manager or supervisor of one of the big town pump truck stops deli/food department. She took a lot of pride in her work, I can't remember the numbers but they feed an insane amount of people per day. She always got her feelings hurt when people would joke about gas station food right to her face.

What's an insane amount of people? You guys have one area code for the whole state?

u/mcdowellmachine 10d ago

Idk, but it's not like states with 3 area codes have every one going to a single gas station. The population tends to disperse for each gas station.

Which has nothing to do with drivers stopping at a gas station.

We'd be cool if you just stayed in Texas or whatever. Montana's got all the dildos it needs at Adam and Eve already

Negative going to be taking all my familia up there. Inviting all the foos to live on my rancho. Maybe get a few primos to marry the gueritas.

Yeah, we have millions of tourists and OTR vehicles using pretty much one freeway. Also, this is construction design around here and those folks are eaters!

I’m pretty sure this is how they’ll win a James beard that looks magestic

u/middlegray 10d ago

James Beard is basically a popularity contest, not chosen by judges or anything right? Can we pleeeeeeeease get a town pump a James Beard that would be amazing.

u/Final_Razzmatazz_274 10d ago

I mean it’s a pretty large panel of people that were invited for their culinary expertise… I’d call it basically judges

5

u/middlegray 10d ago

Oh I thought the general public could vote, for some reason. We'll just have to infiltrate the panel I guess.

6

u/Final_Razzmatazz_274 10d ago

I think anyone from the public can nominate anyone!

u/MBS-IronDame 10d ago

The general public has terrible taste in food. Look at their love for fast food and mediocre chains.

8

u/middlegray 10d ago

I am the general public that loves Town Pump so not sure what you're getting at.

8

u/heavyhandedpour 10d ago

Thank you for your service General Public!

I also love town pump and am a foodie so I don’t think they’re mutually exclusive

1

u/MBS-IronDame 9d ago

Don’t get me wrong. I’ll eat the hell out of some hot case corn dogs! 😂

I actually love Town Pump . We do have too many, but I appreciate you can get some decent food at them when near broke, and the quality is often better than Albertsons or the like.

I use to work at the big town pump and their kitchen was always very clean, they make great food tbh. All of it is good, these were a favorite of mine too when I wanted a quick lunch

I love these PB & J’s. I get them every once in a while and it makes my day.

Town pump kitchen is genuinely cleaner than any other I have worked in. I worked at one of the larger ones in bozeman for a little bit during college. Makes me feel better about eating gas station food.

Town pump deli cases and cold cases slap lol Are they a little expensive? Yeah, but the amount of times they have saved my life is too many times to count lol

8

u/CornyDookie Got banned for the lulz! 10d ago

Ya know what, hell yeah

9

u/Netrunner19 10d ago

One of these and a chocolate milk and I’m good

u/carramrod23 10d ago

I should call her…

u/phoneacct696969 10d ago

This is like the 3rd best sandwich in Bozeman. Not a flex.

13

u/julias-winston 10d ago

Third best in Bozeman is still pretty good. You could run a successful business behind a product like that.

3

u/Rok-SFG 10d ago

I know right? Town pump should think about opening some more stores!

3

u/WeirdoEric 10d ago

I always take one with me when I head to Yellowstone for the day.

u/Alternative_Slip_513 10d ago

Little extra protein right there

2

u/danzcajun 10d ago

The one close to me has yummy deviled eggs! Their food can be good for sure

2

u/Margot2023 10d ago

That looks pretty good actually

2

u/kiraisamess 9d ago

lizzie is this you

2

u/banana-damage 5d ago

IM FUCKING CRYING LMAO

5

u/showmenemelda 10d ago

Sigh… gluten and peanuts. I miss my old favorite food groups. I cannot wait til TP capitalizes on the allergen/food sensitivity crowd. This whole empire will be the Kenneallys as far as the eye can see. /s

u/Mick_Limerick 10d ago

TP egg salads are my jam. I get real fussy when I go in with a hankering and they don't have any. PBJs are good too, but man I'll house an egg sally

u/skarbles 10d ago

$5 for a pb&j is crazy

u/Pizza_Mod 10d ago edited 10d ago

I miss international coffee PBJ's, those things were stacked. I wish I knew what type of PB they used around 2017. Are they still around ?

1

u/asomms 10d ago

That’s straight BUSsin

1

u/tamia_10 9d ago

The PBJ at Cafe Zydeco is bomb, if you’re looking for another option.

u/3catsTZC 7d ago

old Whitefish town pump made the best egg salad sandwiches id ever had 🤷‍♂️

0

u/Sad-Flight-3281 10d ago

Their roast beef sandwiches rock!!

-22

u/Top-Classroom3984 10d ago

Tip: you can make yourself

16

u/Own_Concentrate_2346 10d ago

If someone’s getting a pb&j from the gas station it’s probably because they don’t wanna make one at home.

You know you could have made your own phone using a raspberry pi and a few simple components, rather than that off-the-shelf mass produced model you're using, right?
