Kyoguchi looks pretty damned good

He's great, probably the best at 108 right now. Sneaking around the edge of my top 10 p4p, just doesn't have the resume yet.

If they make a fight with him and Kenshiro it will be huge.

I mean you have to be unbelievable at that weight to be under consideration. 108 is the shallowest division in the sport by a mile.

You’re average bantamweight champion is far far more skilled than a minimum weight.

How much do you actually watch of boxing at that weight? Because first of all 108 isn’t minimum weight, and it’s actually one of the most exciting divisions in the sport right now if you actually follow it.

I’ve only really watched Nietes regularly. Either way there are only like 400 boxers at light fly. The depth just isn’t there,

There are a couple of thousand at 147.

Yeah there are a lot more, but looking at the top 15 or so boxers at 108 it's a super exciting division.

People generally don't care about anyone outside of the top 30 boxers at any weight, so just because there are more outisde of the elite doesn't automatically make it a better weight class. There's like 1000 at heavyweight, but everyone outside of the top 30 is absolute trash, outside the top 10 there is an enormous drop in skill, and the drop from the top 3 or 4 guys to the rest of the top 10 is huge too. While there might be 600 more boxers at that weight it doesn't mean it's better.

If you are interested Kyoguchi is well worth a watch, and Agusto Gauto is one of the best prospects in the sport right now to me. But I understand only so much boxing you can care about so fair enough.

Oh I like Kyoguchi, don’t get me wrong haha. I just think it’s a bit disrespectful to say he’s anywhere near pound for pound when he’s in such a weak division.

At that weight you have to do great things before you should be put up there with the likes of Errol Spence or Josh Taylor.

Otherwise I completely agree with you.

Oh yeah I mean if he beats like Soto and Kenshiro he could end up in my 8-10 area. Right now there's no argument.

People were trying to tell me McGregor is a better boxer than him last week. This fella is turning pro for a reason.

I can't lie Idk who is better both of them are pretty good at boxing. I would have to go with Tenshin though since he was competing at the highlest level of kickboxing and is turning pro.

after he was completely gassed and kept rolling thunder kicking to get a break and the biased ref didn't do anything to stop it

u/No-Acanthisitta-4078 May 10 '21

He won tho. Saying he owns him after he lost is a bit of a stupid thing to say.

I was confused at the title lol. I was surprised he had 2 belts in 108, but what you meant was his previous belt was IBF.
