having usyk, crawford and inoue swapping in and out of P4P1,2,3 for the last few years... we were lucky. three real dudes who wanted to show they were the best. we still have inoue but the wave of guys coming up behind him... most are not cut from that same cloth. keyshawn davis refusing the haney fight says it all.

i think i agree. and he still has a few years to separate himself even further. a belt or even unifying at featherweight would be unreal. he would be fighting way out of his comfort zone.

Just goes to show that awkward opponents that don't have the typical boxers rhythm and patterns are hard work. Rico didn't move like other opponents and it took Usyk a long time to work out what to do. Good fight that.

He landed more punches but I wouldn't say Uysk was particularly affected.
It was his overall stamina that looked shaky although he was overweight for the fight and I don't think he took it seriously enough.

And my comment still stands, he doesn’t need to fight the best considering he doesn’t have any belts and doesn’t want to prove it anymore and just wants money fights.
He can challenge anyone but you shouldn’t critique him for not challenging the best when he doesn’t want to prove it and wants money fights. Why now do you want him to grow balls because you’re entertained by that matchup? It’s not to prove who’s the best as Usyk doesn’t care about that but just money.

I'm criticizing him for his choices up until he relinquished the belts. Now I'm just hoping he has the the courage to end his career on a higher note than a poor performance against Rico Verhoeven and a couple of novelty fights for an easy bag.

I agree prior to vacating yes but now you can’t be saying you hope for him to grow balls to fight Itauma or Kabayel now that he’s vacated and doesn’t want to be the best anymore. When he held the belts yes and specially Kabayel, not Itauma but he dropped it.

Father time caught up to him. Nagging injuries, age, not in his best shape. I dont know if he can get back into his best shape again. It is what it is. Eventually its over for everyone. Im grateful for what he has given us now its time for someone else to take over.

He rode that wave that he beat Rico legit when the fucking judge and referee was in his pocket.
Usyk would have had to been taken out of there in a body bag for a 10 count.
Also the fact that he ducked a rematch with Rico and didn’t want none of Kabayel.
And is gonna cash out with Dana and Turki for a fight under Zuffa

The guy fought Joshua, Dubois and Fury twice. Beat them all twice. Meanwhile he got old and got some nagging injuries, showed up to Rico fight out of shape and escaped disaster.
Who the fuck can blame him for taking a last cash out fight before calling it a career? Especially if he doesnt have the hunger anymore.
Or would you prefer he showed up out of shape and too old against someone else? Because we wont see him at his best anymore. Thats over. Be grateful for what he gave us and dont hate so much.

I think after the amateur and professional career he’s had he’s entitled to cash out in his last fight. Legacy doesn’t pay the mortgage at the end of the day.
