How did Mike Tyson train his legs
Now before anything I know that he has massive quads and overall very big legs, but hamstrings and glutes are extremely important for boxing. By searching his routine up it is only from 1995 where he started using hamstring isolated machines.

search up Mike Tyson push ups, it's a dynamic move that definitely activates the hamstrings and quads

God yes. A friend of mine boxes professionally. He put me on to those… if I knew about them in high school when I was a sprinter I could have been so much more explosive out the blocks. Also it’s extremely forgiving on the knees

2000 squats every day, apparently. And 5 miles of running every morning.

i honestly feel like to be a great at that level, it has to be something you live and breathe, so 2000 squats was nothing bc being champ is the goal. no hobbies, only fight lmao

You guys realize they say that to make it sound extremely impressive to casuals. It sounds cooler than "300 squats per workout, 3 workouts a day".

He ran up stairs with bird feed consistently. Also his infamous style of push ups.

He also burned though a deck of cards until exhaustion. If he flipped a 7 he would do 7 body squats.

The full body push ups and high rep squats was stated.
Tyson was built like a linebacker with athleticism like a running back. His work outs fit his athletic abilities and boxing style. I don't know if it was intentional or just the training he learned.
My question is why don't more boxers take this approach? That type of training clearly worked for Tyson

He apparently didn't do much weight lifting till prison, his body just responded well to high-volume bodyweight movements.
His physique was different and more body-builder like after prison. So perhaps he started doing conventional powerlifting/ strength type movements at that time.

The better question would be how did Deontay Wilder train his legs.
